Um...interesting arrangement - imaginative - main criticism is the incessant 'river, river, carry me on' which brings it down to a scouts/guides' bonfire song and not the glorious vocal arrangement it could be. A lot of the original's harmonic beauty has gone (check out some of the orchestral versions). The middle section is good though...it would be hard to screw up such an amazing song. I guess it can be sung wherever - but it's not a 'religious' song.
