  • I have to say that the Donna summer version is the best one. Maybe if I had never heard her version I would say that this is the best one

  • love the long hair.

  • I feel him...he wrote it and he knows what he's singing about...

  • I want to thank you for posting this video. This is one musical treasure that might not make it in the stores. It reminds me of my high school days. This is none of my all-time favorites. I am glad that you have it and shared this with us. God bless you!

  • brilliant

  • This song never made so much sense.

  • He sounds a lot like Michael Stipe.

  • @daviswhite does`nt he tho. agreed.

  • jimmy, too good, real music. thank you

  • I get it, I finally get it. Isn't it strange, I always listened to Richard Harris and Donna Summer and just loved it because it's a great song but when you hear the writer actually singing it and putting all the emotion into it that he felt when he wrote it and the emotion as to why he wrote it...Bravo, beautiful and like I said I finally get it!!!

  • Wonderful! MacArthur Park was on my "playlist" LOOOOOONG before the word "playlist" existed. Great video and sound. Well done!

  • Incredible. It's not often now that we can see a song writer perform his own music. Not a singer, but singing with all the passion he felt when he wrote it. He sings with his eyes closed, maybe remembering the emotions he felt when he first wrote this pained love song. Strained, strange, and complicated, like any true love is. Thanks so much for posting.

  • thank God for others interpreting his music.

  • This is from 1971

  • The man is so brilliant, but, so wierd

  • It's so great to have a visual record of Webb performing this curiously haunting song that has had a life of its own for decades -- a song whose initial success (the Richard Harris recording) and subsequent life flies in the face of musical and lyrical convention that would've predicted a different fate for it.

  • just heard about jimmy last night in the pub great, i knew his songs obviously and liked them

  • Is this concert on DVD? Excellent song
