Raiden resembles Grey fox in many ways.

1) They both use exoskeletons considering the fact they don't wear it in their previous games...

2) Both of their arms were cut off. In MGS1, Grey Fox arm was lost his in battle with MG REX by REX's laser. Raiden lost his by cutting it.

3) The position of his covered eye is the same position of Grey fox's bleeding eye.

4) Grey Fox's left shoulder is somehow same with Raiden's right one.

@denismaudree Nice examination, I love what they did with Raiden in this one because my favorite character has always been Frank Jaeger (Grey Fox). So for them to sort of do a tribute like this to him is just wonderfull. The only thing different between Fox and Raiden is Raiden loses both arms.

It's considerable more difficult to lift something on the back of your arm while lying on your stomach than it is to brace something against your back and keep it from moving forward. The fact that both of his legs were immobilized under rather large pieces of debris (Limiting his ability to move his torso) would only compound the amount of difficulty.

So yeah, position and leverage.
