  • duno if vmware server require paid licnese ?

  • with my 1.05 it requires host name, username and optional password.

  • i have a question... how can other users connect to my VM?

  • I have been going through a lot of the VM Installation videos on YouTube and this one is by far the most useful. Thank you!

  • I still like vmware workstation 7.1 better!

  • @BStillRemainsB no, the standard vmware server is free, I don't if you have to pay when you use vmware in your bussiness. There is also a more professional version, which costs money. There is also a completely free and opensource option: Sun virtualbox

  • @MySecretagentman you don't need a cd, you can use an iso file and mount it as a cd in vmware. When you are downloading an OS it is almost always an iso disk image.

  • What is virtual machine? I heard that you can make game servers with it? Can i?

    Thanks!

  • how did you access the vmware server console from your desktop, i have to use web access. i prefer microsoft virtual pc for that reason alone.

  • can u use home edition service pack 3

  • I don't have a cd

  • what version is that? i had one but it used firefox to go on. i dont want that. is this the older version?

  • does VMWare cost money to run?

  • Great how to video. Can you create a how to add a new virtual disk then create a new partition?

  • its asking me to log in. do i have to?

  • This version of VMware Server requires a login. It should be the same username and password that you use to login to your computer. I am not sure but I would assume if you don't use a password when logging into your machine, then you should be able to just enter your username and leave the password blank. If you don't use a password with the windows login, and you are able to use VMware by leaving the password blank, I would like th hear about it.
