  • 7 looks more like a "C"

  • LOOK UP COLIN ROCKE FOR SOCCER SKILLS

  • Thanks for upload. Clear instructions and effective drill.

  • very nice i have used it twice this week and it works very well

  • u made it really easy to understand thnx

  • Great team drill for most ages.

  • Not complicated or congested at all. Ran it with U-10-U-13 without any issues.

  • great drill mate gonna give it a go defo

  • Seems like a good speed drill but not to be prolonged. What I do for speed is dribbling(I usually have the ball) around cones and "Shark" game. You probobly heard of the shark game but let me just make it easiyer for you. 1 Player is asked to be the shark(Preferably a good player) and the rest are given balls to keep. The shark takes the balls and the person without the ball turns into a shark, It keeps on going until everyone is a shark.

  • GREAT drill! I agree with hurricane15 that it will probably be better for players to consider their own cone as #6 and the cone directly oppposite s 12 o'clock as that is how we look at clocks -

    - Thanks for sharing -

  • A simple tweak that I will make will make each group at 6 o'clock instead of 12 o'clock. When I thought about starting at 6 o'clock it became much easier for me to figure out which cone I had to run around since it is the same way we normally look at a clock. 12 o'clock seemed upside down for me.

  • its kinda complicated :D

  • Make the drill a lot simpler and the kids will learn faster. Non theless it is a good drill.

  • OMG i did that one when i was in my School team and we were the undeafeted team

  • so i really need some cure to my loneliness

  • This is a brilliant drill but personally I wouldn't use it for any younger than under 12's.

The clock face kind of needed, that way the places aren't always running in straight lines, and also they avoid and keep their head up.

  • too complicated for U10 and too congested.

  • i tried this exercise last night with an adult team and it went down very well. I'm always looking for drills of this standard so if you have any more you can share i'd really appreciate it.

  • Coaches are always looking to combine elements because there isn't always enough time to cover everything you'd like to in a training session. This mixes agility/movement, concentration, looking for space, avoidance, has minimal equipment requirements, and can be adapted to suit a number of purposes. It's not gimmicky as it has clear training objectives, and confusion only occurs if an exercise isn't explained or shown. Speaking as a coach, it's actually a very versatile drill.

  • rly rly good dril

  • thats shite

  • there must be alot of dumb arses based on the comments i've seen if they don't understand the big picture of this drill....

  • This is similar to one we have just filmed. Nice use of graphics.

  • Good Drill, A bit confusing at first but seems efficient.

  • Drill's objectives objectives could and should be achieved more efficiently - no lines, more touches, less confusion. The clock face is an unnecessary gimmick.

  • little kids are not going to understand you

  • first time ive ever posted a comment on youtube....DUMBEST DRILL OF ALL TIME

  • THIS IS A FUCKEN CRAPY DRILL

  • nice frill. imma see if my coach will let us do it. we seem to get bunched up during ganes so i think this will help.

  • confusing but very helpful if u now wtf he talkin bout..

  • futbol is a very simple game,it is about having fun,and the rest....come naturally.

    Brazil is a perfect example.

  • you're right. brazil is the perfect example. that's why they're so good, they play it the fun way.

  • O come on people you guys are teaching kids spped now?. speed comes naturally. seriously you people need to watch african kids and south american kids playing soccer in the streets. watch how organised they're soccer is. at the age of 7 a brazilian kid is amazing. because they do simple things. It looks complicated but it's actually simple. watch a brazilian coach, coaching. I think you might learn something.

  • thises =dat aldistn

  • ya a bunch of 10 year olds will totally understand this..like hell..your a joke..start by not being a loser and go from there

  • This is a great drill! It makes perfect sense...keeps the players on their toes, literally and figuratively/mentally. Thanks for the posting.

  • Use 6 as your starting point as it is much easier for kids to understand.

    Progressions to add:

    1) add a ball dribble around cone and back

    2) dribble to cone, turn 1 yard away and dribble back

    3) as #2 but after turning get head up, and once clear pass the ball back.

    4) call out 2 numbers at once, player with ball dribbles to and back from 1st number. 2nd player in line runs to cone and back from 2nd number. This is a bit like supporting runs, and knowing where defenders and team mates are.

  • Wtf? what are they doing?

  • ?????????????????????

  • I would suggest a modification to this drill.

Given the fact that many kids wear digital watches, why not make the drill easier to do by having each player line be a "6" rather than a "12"? That way they are looking at the setup as they would a watch face, with the 6 at the bottom and the 12 at the top. From my experience, trying a drill like this will be confusing enough as it is, so anything that makes it easier should help make it go smoother.

  • Okay we tried it last night. It actually works pretty well. I will have to try it with the other modifications. I like using the "6" as the starting point...

  • decent drill

  • WTF????

  • YEH, good drill! Like it and important to have PROGRESSION

  • please plaeas send some more drills to my inbox.. im a captain of my team and we have a new coach and we need some more drills!!

  • 1 Mile run is not good for developing speed acceleration

  • pooh, just go on a fucking 1 mile run???

  • Nice
