Jon, a bit of advice:

1:Elevators can't go up more than 16X -17X floors, it's impossible. (the cables would snap)

2:There would need to be a lobby at the halfway point in that tower to make elevators go to the top.

3: Elevators can go up to 2400 feet per minute, so about a 1-1:15 ride UP twice

4: Going down, you may be right on the time due to human complications (your ears) but it seems more like 3 min down twice.
