i personally think against shield walls, flanking is the best with a spear, they want to keep their shields together, but if u flank from the side, you can usually either kill them, or create an opening for someone else, unless they have a rear guard which can be a problem with this strategy, what i do is sneak around the back of my line and flank from the side or if the circumstance allows from behind their line thats when u can do some massive damage, i had upto 5kills like this
it looks like if ur doin an underhand spear against a shield he could somehow bash your spear down while ur jackhammerin and step through it and get your legs
Hes talking about fighting with shield walls. If you rushed a spear/pike man for a leg shot... well, you kind of set yourself up for failure against his entire line.
and did it 3x in a row before they realized they needed a rear guard
