  • @stickmister321 All NEW MUSIC SUX STICKMISTER! YOU KNOW this!!! and I LOVE old MUSIC so MUCH i BARF

  • @robmcman Just because justin bieber is born, wont make all the music bad.

  • Your retarded if your gonna compare this to dubstep, two completely different things

  • @TheShizznay I think he's comparing the bass lol

  • @TheShizznay Thats the essence of comparing that you take 2 different things. Its retarded to compare the same things

  • ahhhh... the 80's sound! no BS rap shit

  • Mantronix > dubstep

  • Video ends?

    Play it again. louder.

  • Whatever happend to Mantronix? It seems like he fell off in the late 80s

  • Long live the undaground , old skool hip hop, and just good hip hop and music in general.

  • 11 pessoas são gays e gostam do justin bieber

  • Tight ass beat!

  • 1985... when NEW YORK was the leader in every aspect of HIP HOP! now..... all they produce is regurgitated garbage!

  • wait whats the bassline ?

  • Dat base. D: screw dubstep.

  • THIS IS A EXCELENT RAP!!!

  • One of Mantronix's best :)

  • The first group to really bring the synth to forefront of hip hop. love em. big up

  • t la rock, could you possibly tell us what happened to crime master tee?

the last word was he joined the navy.

is he still rocking at all?.his style was so fluid.

    hope you are well sir.

  • did this song just give my computer bass for a little?

  • @intel1g3ntmovem3nt This bass is destroying my speakers :D F*** it, i need new ones anyway :D

    What a tune.

  • GTA Vice City!

  • THANK GOD FOR THE 808!

  • Good thing theres U-TUBE

For those who don't know yet!

    This Is real FUCKIN HIP-HOP!!

  • I'm 14 and I still love old school rap like this.

  • please dont forget THE LATIN RASCALS who helped mantronix out big time!!! rip Chep Nunez who held it down!!!!

  • I hate mainstream because they do it to make money. If you are a musician, make music because of whats inside you, not whats inside the consumers pocket.

  • how in the f**k can 11 people not like this fine piece of musical history, I feel for you 11 people your heads cant be right.

sounds so slow now but we use to break to this

  • i love that part from 0:00 to 6:01

  • Back in 1986, if you wanted to play something powerful to make a statement --on the court, behind the decks, or at the gym-- you played this. This was the bad-ass tune of the rap world that year.

  • My last days at I.S. 74. That's why i don't even bother with the bullshit that's played on NYC's so-called Hip Hop stations namely Snot 97 and Powerless 105.

  • @oldschoolbx1970 Chicago got it worse with 107.5 WGCI and Power 92. Though, Power 92 might be just better than WGCI in every way, shape, and form.

  • @kibjohn Thanks for sharing that 411 with me.

  • 11 people are completly DEAF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • slower than i remember it but still a classic.

  • 11 people haven't played gta vice city

  • this is one epic jam. was listing to it on my ipod and now ima put it as my featured

  • BASS ~~ :D

  • funny that every old-school hip hop video has highest rated comments trashing modern "hip-hop"

  • @LIGHTRONIX

lame ass losers, if you ask me

  • @LIGHTRONIX hiphops dead get it right. there is no such thing as new hip hop. its pop.

  • @extracredit100 hip hop is not it just got bad. You can' t kill a culture with horrible music just ask mantronix. Long live the underground.

  • @LIGHTRONIX : There is no such thing as "modern hip hop". There's the real deal such as this; and the untalented autotuned garbage you hear on nationwide corporate radio aka WSHT-FM / KSHT on the west coast. Keep your ears pure, this is where it's at. :) :) :) :)

  • Got tons of original old school joints from the early 80's for sale, hit me if interested.I also have this for sale.

  • do they make systems that do justice to the deep bass in this jam? I doubt it!

    Thanks for posting this.

  • 10 people have no subwoofer..

  • @ZyaTorg lol true

  • 80's and 90's hip hop all day fuck everything after 2001 this is real hip hop a str8 up classic I was born in 89 though

  • ALL THIS BAD LANGUAGE IN RAP TODAY. EVEN BACK IN THE, THEY HAD IT HARD. GUNS, DRUGS, AND SO ON. THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO SING ABOUT IT IN A BAD WAY AND NOT TRY TO CHANGE IT. THIS WAS THEIR ESCAPE. THEY OPEN UP A LOT OF DOORS FOR OTHER RAPPERS.

  • @HowAboutSum u chattin....rap is about way of life...the streets ....the b boys...the gangstas... the pimps...and the losers !!!!

  • @HowAboutSum as far as NYC, it was much worse back then. 81-86 saw the begining of crack epidemic. crimes across the board were 3 fold of what they have been in last 10 years. these morons today glorify shit they only heard of. I wuz there, part of it. good and bad. yeah back then it was about the lyrics. escape. and funny how so many bit names of street legends back then..jay-z/ az, pistol pete from bx, irv freakin gotti, i know there r more but i refuse to listen to these false prohfits..

  • @NYOLSKOOL lol wut?

  • @HowAboutSum just agreeing w/ ya. when i was talkn bout jay-z he took that name from major drug dealer az who ran harlem in 80`s. pistol pete ran a crack crew in soundview in early 90`s and there some rapper named after him and irv gotti is pretty much out there. its like they wana be like these guys but there spittin b.s. and i wuz sayn that nyc was way worse back in early to mid 80`s than is has ever been. but the lyrics that came outa that time was for the most part positive..just sayn :)

  • @NYOLSKOOL WORD ....

  • listen to those 808 drums.

  • Good old days, when me and a friend were DJ'ing school parties in the Bergen area, Norway. With bass speakers the size of skyscrapers ;-D

  • got this on vinyl wicked tune

  • @Futura2500 was mantronix a group, or one person??

  • @myrage721 mantronix were DJ Kurtis Mantronik and MC Tee, D.J. Dee joined later I think they had guest vocals etc as well

  • I got the cd single for sale if anyone is interested.

  • Got this album in the crate! Classic!!!

  • Still good!, 5*.

  • still feeling the BASS oooops and so are my neighbors ';-)

  • Real Hip Hop got souled out by sell-out slave type rappers, fake corny so-called

hip hop fans and so-called black radio. negrows scared to really program

    black music.

  • sub'd, fav'd and reposted. What else can I do. Where's the lino at?

  • the best. living in the suburbs in the early 80s listening to this on my brothers big fuck off boombox everything sounded so good then so fresh

  • BEST MIX EVER!!!!!! FUCK REISSUES!!!

  • "Never judge a book by its cover" - so true...I remember seeing this album in 86 and thinking it was the most boring cover ever. Think this is still the case...but how good is the music, the stuff that really counts? Now CDs look all glam, there's bling this and bling that but the music has no substance or depth. Bring back the old school hip hop any day of the week

  • way before acid

  • @rammers7 i bought this album about 86-87 just befor acid came out and still got it still plays good now

  • dat is shit man !

  • watch ya bassbins im tellin ya????

  • @Bill486 TR-909+TB-303+Heavy delay & Gated reverb = ELECTRO CLASSIC!!!!!!!

  • @Quattroforte1990 tht thiz wuz roland 808?

  • Classic!!!

  • Ok great song, but what is he talking about??? Never new and still don't after all these years.

  • The best :)

  • Mantronix moved onto the Sequential Studio 440 sampling drum machine/sequencer. The best of its kind for a decade.

  • this was 80's hiphop!

  • nice funky hip hop

  • he started with the roland 808,later he moved to the sp 1200.

  • One of the greatest rap songs ever!

  • one of my favorites back in the day, along with definetly "needle to the groove" mantronix was and is still one of the best hip hop crews out there. it just sucks that time has to pass. damn!

  • sounds like the roland 808 in flow, i always wanted one.

  • don't forget the 909 in there

  • This is a classic, first record I ever purchased.

  • Ryanisym the South has always had the best beats. Where did most of the music in this nation originate. Jazz,Blues, Rock N Roll! I love me some Mantronix ,don't get me wrong. But, you need to be educated. It goes back further than the early 80's

  • this sounds like "The Tuss" do a search and see what im talking about.

  • We went off to this jam in college. One of the best era's in rap history.

  • thats so true. 98% of hip-hop nowadays is junk in my opinion

  • agreed.. i got bored of hip hop long time ago.. but this is the first time i heard this track and its just plain awesome

  • @viktord1 whats the other two percent? And I totally agree. but I like 80s metal more than 80s hip hop but 80s hip hop is so awesome.

  • @viktord1 That's my word right there.

  • mantronix were truly ahead of their time when it came to beats

  • Kurtis Mantronic is a genre busting genius. Whatever happened to Dre he's totally sold his soul and is now a corporate whore!

  • hence..."The King Of The Beats" awesome.!

  • mantronix is the reason the south has a sound now!!! the king of the beats for real!!!!

  • any song that has Mantronix on the tables and Latin Rascals editing has to be dope as hell.
