maybe you misunderstood my comment, i said that it would always take light 7 years to travel 7 lightyears, but for things that are NOT light, it would take a diff amount of time.. b/c they travel at a different speed ( it would take me longer to travel 7 lightyrs than it takes light to travel 7 light yrs)

no youre completely wrong because the distance would ALWAYS be 7 lightyears, but the time it took you to travel that distance would always depend on your speed. for example, if you were light itself, it would be 7 years away. but if you were a spaceship, or a bird it would be ALOT more than 7 years. get it? =]
