This is the only version of this song I can actually listen to. And I have been listening, about 20 times in a row since I found it. A lovely job ladies, your blend is absolutely fabulous, breath support is wonderful, notes are all comfortable, this songs sounds so sincere and natural. A little more rounding of tone, but that's the only comment that isn't a compliment that I can come up with. Congratulations!
I am in love with this song. I sung it at a high school honors choir. A nunch of high schools got together and we sang this with a bunch of other college pieces. Although I like it better as a moxed chorus with both men and women (it tends to sound better, in my opinion.) Thses girls did a wonderful job though
FHS is singing this for competition in Missouri this year(:
I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3
It's such a beautiful song. Like someone else mentioned make sure to make the ending vowels heard. Mrs. Bauche drills it into us. "Deaf an blin" should be "deaf and blind" You did put emphasis on the right words from what I can hear(:
I am so proud to see BHS recognized anywhere...I was at BHS in 1982....does this have anything to do with AI's Kelley? I hope not, as you girls are independently worthy of recognition. Great Job...Internet is so awesome and random...was looking at jewelry, found a jewel for sure!!
on the short soprano malisma, there was an obvious h sound between notes it wasn't present during the any other parts though, when you sung "deaf and blind" I heard was deaf ann blind. Other than those few things it was great. Sing on girls!
This was very beautiful, you guys did a great job on dynamics and blending and also on not being too loud on the unison parts. I want to make that clear because I'm about to make a long list of negatives. Whenever the word long was sung all I heard was lonn, where's the G? When "lost as a candle lit at noon." was sung I could only hear noo instead of noon, on the second "you love me,"

My choir sang this for the District Music Festival thing but only for the judge. I was really bummed that we didn't sing it later that night. :(
In any case, I love this song. It's so romantic. Also, it makes me think of Damon and Elena from the Vampire Diaries book series. :P ^_^
