  • Phyllis knows what she's talking about...

The American version of SOFA has yet to be revealed and may create problems in near future.

  • Remove your blindfolds!!! QUESTION YOUR REALITY!!! Ask yourself the simple question of "WHY?" every once in a while. DON'T BE CONFORMISTS, DON'T SETTLE FOR THE SHEEPLE FEED THEY DELIVER TO US. DO NOT ACCEPT, SIMPLY BECAUSE. TOGETHER THE ANTS CAN TAKE DOWN THE ELEPHANT!! EXPAND YOUR LIMITS OF POSSIBILITY TO WHAT REALLY MAY BE POSSIBLE. INSTEAD OF WHAT WE HAVE BEEN TRAINED AND DELIBERATELY BRAINWASHED TO BELIEVE AS BEING POSSIBLE. THINK FOR YOURSELF!!!! FOR YOURSELF!!! FOR!!!! YOUR!!!! SELF!!!!!

  • Try to have less fear in your life. Peace

  • I fear nothing and no one. Fear does nothing for no one. Peace is what we need, but truly do not have. Unfortunately not everyone can say that. Mainly because the seeds of fear are planted throughout the worldwide government controlled media. So dude, there are no attempts on my behalf in relevance to your word of "try". Fear doesn't exist within me. No ego, simply a fact.

  • The change that Obama campaigned on was away from GW Bush. He has by appointing Hillary, signaled his predilection to policing terrorism rather than warring against it. It is important to note that Afghanistan is about supporting a nation state in its efforts to become democratic. Confronting terrorism is a secondary though important role. Indeed much of the policing of terrorism will need to take place on the border and across the border in Pakistan. This is pragmatic change.

  • pfft, they got into Afghanistan and Iraq for PROFIT, and it's the reason they are staying!

Obama's "change" has nothing to do with pragmatism!

    /case closed

  • Change only on the face and color:)from Money face White trash,, to Black messiah :)

  • Presidents are puppets, they do not run anything. The military will work for the banks and corporations. The war economy is the future.People will be slaves to the banks interest on the money they print it,unless people get back to the government printing the money and not the private banks like the Federal Reserve.

  • What I get from this is that Obama lied to get elected!!! Obama hasn't taken office yet and already you have these people appoligizing for him. His administration is going to be, not only a dissapointment, but a huge disaster.

  • "Pragmatism" should be in quotes, Real News. Don't give any credence to this being real pragmatism or anything less than insanity.

  • Chump change.

  • Slow news day? Here goes the media paraphrasing Obama's speeches & agendas, as if the American public did NOT hear from Barack Obama & elected him for presidency.

FYI, When your boss hired you to the very job you are performing now, your boss expects you to complete your assignment & you expect "evaluation" based on your job performance, i.e the American voters elected Obama to perform his assigned job. Therefore, Obama is entitled for job performance evaluation just like you? What's so hurry?

  • How about we wait to see what he does during his presidency? Obama is no revolutionary and nobody assumed he was during the election. And I doubt there's one American that's truly willing to revolt and back him if he did try to revolutionize Washington politics within a few weeks. He's an excellent politician and mediator. Certainly pragmatism in the world's largest bureaucratic backbone during these fragile times is needed over the extremist views of say a Bush presidency.

  • If Zinn supports the "Real News" then he obviously likes ....milk toast.

Why isn't the REAL NEWS uncovering the 911 US regime attacks, the long past death of Bin Laden, the takeover of the US by the Rothschilds by the UN, the illegal state of "Israel", the fact that Iran was given nukes in 2003 by France, oil prices are decided DAILY by the central banks on Wall St or that JFK was murdered because he told Israel they would NEVER have nukes?

    These are SHILLS!

  • Its the RealNews not the RealHistory, get a grip.

  • Because they're not wearing tin foil hats.

  • They do cover Israel in a fair light (ie not the laudatory and infallable way that the MSM does), I believe. They're not shilling, but they're also not 911 truthers since many of those theories are absurd.

  • You are "asleep at the wheel".

    Sorry.

  • I'm not sure if anyone other than yourself got that (joke?). Care to explain what you mean?

  • oh sheep for the D.U.M.B bases rather be dead by an asteroid than to follow those dudes.Pity those who will

  • Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

The New World Order moves forward.

  • This is the Real News.

  • Al-CIA-da.

  • I'm NOT surprised.

  • Would anyone else like to lie to me and tell me that the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations), to which Obama, Hillary and McCain all belong, is some benign or benevolent organization? That they are not interested in a move towards globalism or a socialist state? Please do try to interject, I love knocking down cards.

The CFR is the enemy of America, as confirmed in their more recent document, "Building a North American Community" 2005 - will that be anything like the European Economic Community?

  • "America is the most undemocratic of democratic countries. Our Constitution and our laws have served us well for the first hundred years of our existence, but under the conditions of today they are not only obsolete, but even grotesque."

This quote comes from Colonel House's 1912 book, Philip Dru: Administrator: A Story of Tomorrow. In the same book, his main character states that only through dictatorship could " 'socialism as dreamed of by Karl Marx' be set up in America.

  • In 1921, Colonel House helped reorganize the Institute of International Affairs into the Council on Foreign Relations.

  • Thanks For The Facts. Thanks Real News!

  • Why are we hearing the drivel about how it's good that these people have experience, and can carry out policy.. Have we ever had a problem with this? We've only had BAD policies that were carried out. And experience??? I'd rather trust a shoe salesman from Iowa than the so called twisted experience we have.

  • Thank you for this video. People needed to hear this.

  • Pragmatism = change. If you didn't have pragmatism nothing could get done. Politics is the art of the possible.

  • I sort of thought the same thing. Isn't pragmatism something COMPLETELY new to 21st century politics? lol

  • Obama IS the agent for change.

He's hiring capable, experienced people who have done a good job in the past. That's smart, and it doesn't trump change. Choosing his cabinet is like buying a car: just because he's driving a quality, proven car, it doesn't mean he can't steer it in a new direction.

Besides, choosing people because they are capable, not just because they are your buddies IS new.

  • This only makes me feel better having voted for Nader.

  • great job

  • I thought OBAMA was for CHANGE!

    Gimme a Break!

He is hiring the same old idiots that have haunted America for years!

  • Anyone paying attention knew Obama represented no change in foreign policy.

Ron Paul, Kucinich, and Mike Gravel would have made a difference. Its a shame people dont research voting records.

  • It's really simple. If you want real change, don't vote for a Council on Foreign Relations agent, dedicated to world socialism. McCain - CFR, Hillary - CFR, Obama - CFR. Poor choices all.

  • yea, they're all dedicated to "world socialism"... lol

  • Well DonQuixote - a name taken from the Spanish novel wherein a mad self-proclaimed knight tilts at windmills, did you realize that DonQuixote is featured in the Skull and Bones ritual which baptized both Bush and Kerry? Interesting choice.

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is the American Branch of a society which originated in England ... (and) ... believes national boundaries should be obliterated and one-world rule established. - Carroll Quigley, Tragedy and Hope

  • According D.L. Cuddy, Ph.D, the CFR's 1959 document called Study Number 7, Basic Aims of U.S. Foreign Policy, the CFR states: "...new international order [which] must be responsive to world aspirations for peace, for social and economic change... an international order... including states labeling themselves as 'socialist'."

  • shit no, he wrote something

  • And Nader. All of these people would make great presidents, especially Paul. Legalizing cannabis, for example, would be an incredible change for America, and only be a relatively small achievement of, let's say, Gravel or Paul. What I mean to say is that even the smallest achievements of Paul, Gravel, Nader, or Kucinich would dwarf the biggest "achievements" Obama could "hope" to bring about.

  • There are long term strategic goals for the us in the middle east , the election of a new president , be he black or white man or woman , those long terms goals cannot be changed .

  • I'm so used to watching 2 minute news clips I find it hard to watch 20 straight minutes of actual news. Anyone else have this problem? I do watch though.

  • Not really. Often CNN has analysis that can last this long. Particulary during the elections. But I do respect that the Real News is more thourough and thought provoking.

  • I feel the opposite. With the shorter clips anything of substance is ignored. For the analysis to be useful it must be contextualized properly and it takes a few minutes to do that alone. The only way to deal with complex topics effectively is the long form, at least in my opinion.

  • We need Kucinich here to change the mindset.

  • hear hear

  • Yeah, I think he should be the Secretary of State instead of Hillary.
