and idowu looks faster than in his old vids, evora looks as slow as he has always been unfortunately

I think your eyes played you a trick here. Idowu reached a runupspeed of 10,50m/s in Berlin, that is slightly down of his best speeds around 10,7-10,8 in earlier years. Evoras fastest one in Berlin was 10,22m/s also a little behind his averaged speeds of 2007/2008.

so both where not that fast this year, compared to their abilities.
