probably he filtered out the low end and re-sequenced the high-end of the kick drum with some delay on it. Yes? No? Time will tell.
kick kinda sounds like when you push in one of those metal caps on a bottle of apple juice.. and click it back out... quite possibly recorded that..

It sounds like it's Damu's own drums, you know, recorded from him playing on a real drum set.
