Jaws is not gone , I went last summer. Earthquake changed its name to "disaster", and added an interactive show featuring a hologram of Christopher walken, before you actually rode the ride. I'm going again this summer.
The last time I was at universal stuidos in orland was in 2005. Its 2012 and we are thinking about going back and I didnt know how much it has changed. The Jaws ride is gone, earthquake is gone, back to the future, and many more im sure. But its so sad.
Ok, I could understand if it was just a few BTTF fans that were complaining about the ride being taken down, but it's like the majority of comments you see on YouTube and the theme park forums. Seriously Universal, why on earth are you destroying your park?

I miss the Back to the Future ride too.... It was always my favorite.... Last year we went on the Simpsons ride and it was good, but not as good as the original. But, they do make up for it at the Harry Potter village!
I was lucky to go on this ride back in 03 I was only nine years old and had only recently seen the first film but my god did I enjoy it. They shouldn't have taken it out the film is a classic it will be remembered for generations unlike the Simpsons that will be forgotten in say 50 years.
I can't believe they cancelled this ride. I'm going to Florida next year and only found out this ride was cancelled a day ago and it really upset me. This was one of the rides I couldn't wait to go on as I am such a big fan of the movies and the 80's and 50's and 60's and even though I've been there before I was only 9 and hadn't even seen the film and didn't appreciate it and now I regret it so much :(

The Simpsons Ride is a great ride, but they should've put it somewhere else and kept Back to the Future. In fact, they should've placed the Simpsons where Twister is. Really, why the hell is Twister still in the park? It's a crappy attraction based on a crappy movie. BTTF The Ride was a great, although dated, ride based on a great movie series! It's a travesty that that crap Twister is still at the park and BTTF is gone!
@serge014 Even Universal can't argue with that comment! Twister has an excellent queue, very detailed and great to look at but the 'ride' itself is just a joke really. The ONLY reason they converted BTTF was because it saved money to convert to the Simpsons. That said, when I was there last the Simpsons wasn't that busy already! They should extend the building for the second BTTF ride or split the building into two attractions. That would really given that side of the park a huge boost.
Do not buy express pass. It is not worth the cost. With or without express pass you will enter at same time for all attractions at Universal Studios Florida. The Adventure Island has lot of exceptions leaving no value in express pass.

I am 26 and from the UK, as a child BTTF was my favourite film. I remember hearing about this magical place called Orlando as a child but never went there. In March 2007 my girlfriend and I went there and got to ride it, we didn't even know they were closing it at the time!
Sooo pleased I got to ride it. Been back since and whilst the simpsons is good and there are more people that can relate to it, its just not the same. I wonder if they will replace Jurassic park area in 10 years or so???

Aaw, dang. If I had known that 2007 was my last year to ride this, I would have got on it at least 20 times. Ironic how as soon as they closed this, BTTF 1-3 came on tv all the time and still does. And they even still play the theme music in the park! Ugh, couldn't they have built the Simpsons AND keep this ride too?

I used to go to Universal Hollywood alot but they took out basically every ride they had in order to put in big enclosed rollercoasters. It never made sense to me, because what was cool about Universal studios was that you felt like you were in the movie. Now it's just a bunch of generic rollercoaster rides. And it's not like they can remotely compete in rollercoasters with near-by neighboring parks Six Flags Magic Mountain and Knotts Berry Farm

Just got back from vacation to orlando went to universal, didn't even know there was a bttf ride until today. This saddens me, I'd have loved to experience it. A delorean is still there, but not the real prop car as it's outside and actors were touching it. I think this ride needs a come-back, perhaps to replace Twister which was a giant pile of crap in my opinion. So I've got a flux capacitor if someone's got a delorean, we can do this!
The last time i went on this when i was 8. I was kinda scared at the time and when i started watching youtube videos of this ride, i got over and wanted to go again. at, like, September 2007 When my dad, me, my sis brought my stepmom to universal cause its her first time. And when we got there, i just found out that they closed it down...this really sucks, man.

They were going to do the tallest fastest coaster of it's time / the world's first morphing coaster, but screwed us over and put a playground there instead.

I am 26 and from the UK, as a child BTTF was my favourite film. I remember hearing about this magical place called Orlando as a child but never went there. In March 2007 my girlfriend and I went there and got to ride it, we didn't even know they were closing it at the time!
Sooo pleased I got to ride it. Been back since and whilst the simpsons is good and there are more people that can relate to it, its just not the same. I wonder if they will replace Jurassic park area in 10 years or so???

RIP this is one of my all time favourite movie! The simpsons ride which is now in its place has no comparison to this ride AND HAS NO STORY LINE to it whatsoever this ride is fun energetic and completely amazing the only one that still remains is in Japan i plan to go on it in Japan in the future

Aaw, dang. If I had known that 2007 was my last year to ride this, I would have got on it at least 20 times. Ironic how as soon as they closed this, BTTF 1-3 came on tv all the time and still does. And they even still play the theme music in the park! Ugh, couldn't they have built the Simpsons AND keep this ride too?

I used to go to Universal Hollywood alot but they took out basically every ride they had in order to put in big enclosed rollercoasters. It never made sense to me, because what was cool about Universal studios was that you felt like you were in the movie. Now it's just a bunch of generic rollercoaster rides. And it's not like they can remotely compete in rollercoasters with near-by neighboring parks Six Flags Magic Mountain and Knotts Berry Farm

Just got back from vacation to orlando went to universal, didn't even know there was a bttf ride until today. This saddens me, I'd have loved to experience it. A delorean is still there, but not the real prop car as it's outside and actors were touching it. I think this ride needs a come-back, perhaps to replace Twister which was a giant pile of crap in my opinion. So I've got a flux capacitor if someone's got a delorean, we can do this!

The last time i went on this when i was 8. I was kinda scared at the time and when i started watching youtube videos of this ride, i got over and wanted to go again. at, like, September 2007 When my dad, me, my sis brought my stepmom to universal cause its her first time. And when we got there, i just found out that they closed it down...this really sucks, man.

They were going to do the tallest fastest coaster of it's time / the world's first morphing coaster, but screwed us over and put a playground there instead.
