It is Christ's job to judge, now that He has resurrected from the earth. While He was on earth, however, He said, "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him." (John 3:17) I believe the world confuses the terms "judge" and "discern." If I don't discern right from wrong, then how can I "turn a straying brother back to the truth?" (James 5:19) Judging righteously is to discern based on God's own words, not how I feel about it.
