@maxertat1 this is not really true, many people say that but they don't prove it. in a duel with a rogue i played, he started amazingly good sapping me attacking me and leaving before i hit him (vanish, blind, sprint, +killing spree), this happened 2 times and the 3rd time i blinked, mirror image, pet, shatter combo, icy veins + frostbolts and killed him in 10 seconds, and it took him like 2 minutes to leave me with 6k life

He is a Mage specced in Arcane, obviously using [Arcane Barrage], which is a 51-point talent! To get [Brain Freeze] you need 41-points minimal (43 Max)! To have both you'll need 92-94-points, which you can't acheive! As well as, at 2:21 (Which I'm assuming our friend was talking about instant fireball! You can see he activates [Presence of Mind], and ACTUALLY shots a [Pyroblast] :P

I'm sorry but you don't have much skills.. Yes, you beat some enemies but they aren't well geared and you only spam a few buttons. I play also an arcane mage but I use much more more spells than you. I have an arena team with other arcane mage and we own S4 warriors+resto shamans, warriors+resto droods. We have over 2k rating. I don't think that you could. To be GOOD arcane mage requires some skills. However to be MEDIUM arcane mage doesn't require skills and it's about spamming a few buttons.

For two, I don't think this movie was saying "I'm da best," it is more like for fun. And arena, while lots of skill is needed, is more like a "Who Has The Best Gear and Internet" fight. 50$ says your internet never goes over 200ms and you're fully epiced out.

Aaah, I didn't mean e.g. Frostbolt but Frost Nova or Cone of Cold is necessary to use imho. It's very very difficult and (in many fights) impossible to beat warrior, pally or rogue without it. But I think that Polymorph spell is the first one, which helps me to survive in arenas or BGs. And you think that lots of skill isn't needed? Nowadays, I think that conditions are similar for major part of players and Internet connections are the same. And gear? Yeah, it's important but it's not all...

Gear is *very very much* needed. And myself --along with many of my friends around here-- live outside any of the phone company's districts. We have no phone lines. Heck, I don't even know how we get ELECTRICITY. We use cellular AirCards for internet connection, and are forced to deal with 7k+ latencies.

Mage sure as hell needs skill.Armor weaker than paper,low HP and many long casting spells.Silences are a constant threath,as are all casting speed slowing effects.And mage has so many abilities to use in combos to stay alive,use them wrong and you will end up dead.
