You definately are entitled to views and opinions, but they help to give an idea of your level of intelligence as surely someone with a fair and balanced view on society wouldnt be racist. You shouldnt be so flippant over the death of an innocent man.
Also humans dont have rights, we have privallages which are taken away at will by the elite.
I agree that exams have never been easier to pass but check my age. I left school with 8 O levels not some worthless GCSE's. And passed my degree in 1992. What gets me mad about the whole Jean Charles thing is that he was here on an expired visa but obviously thought he was better off here. And now he's dead, the blame apparently lies with the police. Put yourself in the mans shoes who shot him. He has to live with that for the rest of his life. The Brazillian police by the way murder innocent people at will every single day. I'm angry about it too - but is called "manslaughter" (or homicide), not "murder". That would be almost as nonsensical as saying a lion is a type of fish. Do you understand the difference? Look it up, then your arguments will sound a lot more clear and convincing, instead of just emotional.
Technically you or police won't call it murder...BUT (with a capital B) It is MURDER.
Police assault you for example.....Smash you over the head with a baton like they did with the foxshunt protestors And (with a capital A) only one officer gets charged with Common assault. Common assault is not even criminal.
The law is FIXED. A blind eye is turned towards wrong-doers in the police.
It is not a fair court when you are told what to say at the end.
I agree, it's disgusting, incompetence and lies. But if you killed someone whom you were convinced was going to kill your girlfriend, a charge of "murder" would not stand up in any court, that's my point.
This is a law agency in which proof and evidence is king. If you truly belive in what you said in your comment then anybody can be whisked off the street and locked up indefinately or gunned for absolutely nothing. Where was the proof in this case? Because he happened to live in the same block of flats?? Leading up to the killing they weren't even sure that it was him. Every one directly responsibe for his jean's death should be punished.
Yes, Blake, anyone anywhere in the world CAN be targeted by police or arrested - because of incompetence and mistaken identity! Humans are sometimes incompetent, don't you agree? And you are right, those responsible - the officers directing the op - should be punished. Justice is imperfect, and sadly this does not qualify legally as murder, no matter what you or I or anyone thinks.
It has to be murder because the intent was to kill the target... the fact that the target was 'mistaken' for somebody else does not make it manslaughter. There is more to be said on the subject but a debate on youTube is not going to bring Jean back.
If "intent" were enough to be guilty of murder, then police who kill someone who really is a clear and present danger to the public would always be guilty of murder. That's why police are not included in the "intent" definition if they are trying to carry out their duty. I hope lessons will be learned from this disaster; but I'm not holding my breath! Greetings.
These GUILTY police officers should be sacked. (but police officers are rarely sacked - instead allowed to resign with full pension) They should be named and shamed ( not simply called officer # 1, #2, #3 and so on.

the police were right to shoot him, he may of been innocent but in the situation if you look at it with an unbiased view (which nearly no-one (including me) can) i think the police are in the right
OK, you can't dump the blame on the firearms officers, but as we see from the inquest, the police - who you say are in the right - made many terrible mistakes in the way they ran and organised the operation. Anyone who loves this country, and loves truth and justice, should be critical, so that a disaster like this will not happen in future.
Hey Dolpthins! I too am really angry that no-one will be prosecuted. BUT :- No-one COULD be charged with MURDER. In British law there is a BIG difference between MURDER and MANSLAUGHTER. The firearms officers were TOLD that J-C was someone else, so they THOUGHT they were protecting people. Therefore not "murder", because their motive was not evil. Those who should be disciplined/fired are the officers who ran what amounts to a criminally negligent operation.

They also concluded that six factors caused his death:
* A failure to obtain and provide better photographic images of the terror suspect Hussain Osman for the surveillance team.
* A failure by the police to ensure that Mr de Menezes was stopped before he reached public transport.
* The fact that the views of the surveillance officers regarding identification were not accurately communicated to the command team and the firearms officers.
* The fact that the position of the cars containing the firearms officers was not accurately known to the command team as the firearms officers were approaching Stockwell Station.
* There were significant shortcomings in the communications system as it was operating on the day between the various police teams on the ground and with New Scotland Yard.
* A failure to conclude, at the time, that surveillance officers should still be used to carry out the stop of Mr de Menezes at Stockwell Station even after it was reported that specialist firearms officers could perform the stop.
The Coroners pressure on the jury highlights the corruption which is at the heart of our legal system.
As an ex soldier who knows the rules of engagement and is very aware of the compulsive falsehoods our so called police spin.I find it interesting as they are the first people to get involved when there is a wrongfull shooting in Iraq and vigorously seek a prosecution.
I really hope that John Charles s incredibly brave family get the REAL justice they deserve.
"I really hope that John Charles s incredibly brave family get the REAL justice they deserve."
So do I!
What saddens me most is that the Jury at this inquest REJECTED most of what the Police gave as evidence, this should lead to a PROPER inquiry.
BTW Your comment about the shootings in War are interesting, I feel that you as a Soldier should be given the benefit of the doubt when called on to risk your life, You are as I have said before, "Lions led by Donkeys"
The scope was WAY TO limited, the Family think so so do I as do many others. Tell me how could a man be shot in the head SEVEN TIMES, and NO ONE held responsible!

how come the metal in the train was bent upwards and inwards as if the bomb had been planted underneath the train (7/7)?

The fact that the Jury only had TWO choices to consider, "Lawful Killing" and "Open Verdict" it is CLEAR that the Jury believe the Police LIED

* Firearms officer C12 did not shout the words armed police before opening fire.
* Mr de Menezes stood up from his seat before a surveillance officer, known as Ivor, grabbed him in a bear-hug.
* But the Brazilian did not move towards officer C12 before he was seized by Ivor.

WRONG: the jury were instructed to give an open verdict. If due course had taken place the jury would have reached a verdict of unlawful killing.

The scope was WAY TO limited, the Family think so so do I as do many others. Tell me how could a man be shot in the head SEVEN TIMES, and NO ONE held responsible!

The Coroner DID NOT ALLOW a verdict of unlawful killing!

@setfree68 So? An inquest isn't supposed to be a criminal trial
