  • Everything in this video is correct but you want to use a XLR microphone cord, not 1/4 inch (or 1/8 inch as he says)

  • Goood. Good work thanx!

  • @ThatMacShow So, I followed the directions of this video and for some reason GarageBand won't pick up the new audio channel. Any tips? Am I doing something wrong? Someone told me I need a USB mixer, but this video and several other sources say otherwise.

  • Where do you conect your speakers?

  • @leonxsiempre1 Usually The Main Out will be used for Speakers, while Tape Out for Recording.

  • Please, for the love of god, where is the Part II ? I have the same mixer and a Macbook Pro, but I don`t know how to set up the audio settings to record my acoustic guitar. Please....

  • So you can hook up the mixer to a computer using only RCA cables? I ask because I noticed the Behringer mixers aren't USB powered. Second question, how would you hook up monitor speakers to the mixer? Thanks for the video, btw.

  • @NathanSynth Just connect it to the Tape Out and Tape in but note that the Tape In Does Not have a Level.

  • I have a question.

Can you use the RCA out to 1/8 to record from your mixer to your computer. I would believe so yeah?

The whole sending it in would be so you can use sound effect or music on your computer and still have your mic during a podcast?

Or am I entirely wrong? I've only ever use mixers live so recording is a whole new world for me.

  • @mikenter Yes so taking the headphone out from your Computer will be referred to as Line-In & Yes it does exactly that.

The Aux Sends & Returns if you want to add a FX Processor like Flanger, Compressor, Exciter etc.

  • shit nobody interfaces!!!! D:

  • i have a question those red and white cables cant you just get the the rca cables and plug them in to the red and white inputs what is smaller and those red and white inputs are they line 1 and line 2 inputs or are they line in and line out plz relpy asap

  • @bluedog916 You can get RCA to 3.5mm which does work fine but going from the Mixer to Laptop but I would recommend using Quarter inch to 3.5mm since You can control Levels

  • My MacBook doesn't hav a line out just for headphones

  • Can this work with other laptops??

  • what do you need to set this up to your pc ?

  • ahhhh macs... I hate macs. haha. nice video though

  • @ThatMacShow After you plug everything, how do you set the mic Preferences ? And how do you set GarageBand as well?

    Thanks for the answer

  • why would you dislike this?

  • Another question, when i record instruments and vocals, for some reason every sound playing internally ( via the mac) is recorded, this includes the metronome. evn though i turn down the master volume.

  • Do you need to register the mixer to the mac or anything like that? please please do a tutorial on how to do that if you do. i'm new to mac and i ain't got a clue how you do this stuff.

  • Will it be or sound better if you use an USB interface like an m-audio fast track between the mixer and the macbook?

  • @gmlasam yup this way can actualy blow the sound card on your computer

  • where did you get those in and out cables, does this work on a pc and is the mixer phantom power?

  • @isreal95 musiciansfriend..com, yes, works on pc, yes has phantom power, the mixer is a Behringer 802

  • hey! May i know what is the total price fir this setup?

  • Actually you'd only really NEED one of the two 1/8" to 1/4" cables. If you're using it for podcasting you'd only need the 'in' to your Mac. And if you're a DJ or similar and play audio from the computer to the mixer then you'd only need to plug it in the 'out' of the computer to the 'in' of the mixer.

Just for people that don't know.

  • @ansonx10 you don't really need any of it actually, if you were DJing of your mac, then you would have the appropriate software, that would incorporate the built in mic.

  • Wait, what's the deal with the line in from the macbook? If it's for monitoring then you can just have a headphone monitor plugged into the mixer, if it's for sound effects you can add all that in post production.

  • Can someone show me all the cables I need for this exact mixer?

  • 1 question m8... the red/white cables u got that change into a minijack, they're already jack-ended so u can plug them into your mixer... ive got red/white cables that dont have jack ends .. do i need mono or stereo jacks? coz i can see u got mono's

  • thanks for the tutorial very helpful but next time try using the correct terms that would make it ooooooo so much better RCA to line in those kinda stuff... again thanks for the tutorial.....

  • @MitchAndBrunie yeap! there is;D

  • where do you get those cords?

  • dude look at your eq section do u think it gives a great sound just putting the eq section into unity what a set up

  • great video you explained everything very well thanks

  • When are you going to put up the video on using the mixer with GarageBand?

  • Will it work on a professional Mixer

  • hmm are you sure that the mic is gonna puts right there?

  • can it still work with laptop or destop..if u try to hook up like dat..

  • Yes it can. It can work as above or it can work with a USB Griffin iMac adapter if your computer doesn't have input/output.

  • what if you have a mac book pro and it only has the head phone jack??

    please respond

  • Griffin iMic, Behringer USB adapter thingy are two cheap ways to do it.

  • Isint there a power cable or something?

  • Yes, there is a power cable for the unit. Forgot to mention that. :-) Thanks for reminding me!

  • Kool It works with Mac Only?

  • @stopzz No it works with any computer or sound system. It's not specifically for the Mac.

  • @bbp12345678910 same did u ever get a reply

  • @torawfordiz no lol

  • Hi... is there any way of connecting it to the usb port on my mac book?

  • You can get a USB audio interface such as the Griffin iMic.

Also some more expensive mixing boards have a USB output, but that's on a more professional level.

  • How do you use it?

  • That's the next tutorial ;-)

  • @ThatMacShow when will that be?

  • Thanks a million. I just bought the same mixer as the 1 in your demo. Hoping to Podcast a radio show with it. Much appreciated.

  • No problem! I love the mixer!! As soon as I get a chance I am going to set up a video streaming studio.
