i wish they'd remake it(dont give a shit about oh no dont remake it dont remake it)stfu and dont watch the remake and bitch cuz its not "classic" even though it would have been if movies back then were made in 3d or some cgi shit.Nostalgia shouldnt be a fucking factor determining whether or not a movie was bad in the first place.
the disruption box says Not exactly a Disney Classic....are you kidding me this movie was epic! Im 19 now though:P lol i totally forgot about it until this morning until i saw my friends status saying she watched it. good times.
I dont know why people say they dont get this movie LOL Everything is explainable like the shark is the oven with the fish heads, the rhyno whas hes fears... ext
I was talking with my friend about good old animated movies today, and I remembered this movie, but I forgot the name. I only knew there was a boy named James and some bugs living in an apple (peach). I was searching few hours and I have found it. great memories. I still love this movie <3
I was 8 years old when this came out way back in 1996. To some of you kids that's a long time ago , but for me I remember it like it was yesterday. I was in school and I would think of this movie while I was in class. I also remember the Disney Adventure magazines and they advertised this movie. I need to read the book , but this film was part of my childhood , along with ``Toy Story'' ``Hunchback of Notre Dame'' , ``Space Jam'' , ``Hercules'' , Arthur on PBS and Beatles music.
Someone must tell me if the re-mastered addition of this film is good. I have the restored version from 1999 (or somewhere in that time slot) as well as the Nightmare Before Christmas addition from that year. We bought the new special addition of TNBC(or as I call it the "special SPECIAL" addition) and while the video quality is nice the colors are so saturated we can barley stand it. Because this movies actually brighter then TNBC I can only imagine how bright THIS film is.
@timeparadox888 - I'm not in any hurry to see the movie. I used to like Nightmare Before Christmas when I was a kid but now my love for it has dulled.
This movie is enjoyable for the animation, and a few other things... A lot is unexplained, like where did a Rhino come from especially when it was in the clouds, and where did a mechanical shark come from? Although, I must admit, the shark scene, even though it doesn't make any sense whatsoever is pretty cool.
@justaguyfriend You're probably right, that makes more sense, but it sounded more like 'fascinating' to me as well. Either way, a redeeming effort after the rather forced Let's Play last week.
@LoafOfPint - I was paying more attention to the clips of the video game. I haven't played it since the early 90's and I was just floored to see how cool it was. And thinking how sad it was that he never went through the purple door. I guess there are YouTube videos for that. But... Maybe PushingUpRoses should tackle this game instead.
I'm 16 years old and i've watched this movie when i was about 3 :D I never knew it is a tim burton movie, but it explains why I'm so in love with his movies ! :D
Was just rewatching the third episode of Doctor Who, noticed that the actor who played Charles Dickinen was also Gareth from Four Weddings and a Funeral. So I checked IMDB for comfomation. And bam, I notice he was also in this!
you know how at the end all those kids eat the peach, they say it was real tasty, but like it landed on the top of the empire state building, all these bugs were in there, and they didnt really have an outhouse that james or anyone could go take a dump or piss in, not to mention how bruised that thing would definatley be and im pretty sure im missing things!
Tim burton really knows how to get you attention when he uses any nightmare before christmas song. Like I wasnt even looking at the tv, and herd a song from it, and now had to see the movie cause its burton-related XD
To be honest, this ad actruly dampens the quality of the movie, it makes it look like a generic, so-so movie, when in truth its a artful master peice.

In the play the Grasshopper and the Centipede have some much less interaction (at least in our script it does). I was looking forward to telling my friend Jerry (Grasshopper) to bite me.
@OneEyedGecko its because Tim Burton and Danny Elfman and best friends, Danny Elfman wrote the music for Nightmare Before Christmas, it wasnt in the film but its probably to symbolise Elfman
You know, I never realized until now that the voice of Miss Spider is Susan Sarandon and the voice of Mr Earthworm is the guy who plays Professor Lupin in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Suddenly, I was like: "Hey, there was this movie about a huge fruit I saw once as a kid that I suddenly remember for no reason. Let's find the trailer!" :P
