  • What has necromancy to do with dark arts?

Necromancy being dark art is what Christians said not pagans.

And btw what is this with pagan shit?

Celts didnt invent paganism the first recordings comes from Ancient Sumeria.

and the oldest paganism that exist today is West African Vodun and they talk to the dead all the time and do not view it as dark art.

This black vs light magic is pure BS.

Its not type of magic thats black or white but how do you use it.

  • @1DarkMasK1 Your way of thinking is coming across as one dimensional. Dark can mean many things beyond the whole bullshit notion of evil; the unknown, the underworld, night, and death itself can all be attributed with "darkness", and there is no mention of evil in those things. The thought of evil being innate with necromancy is purely subjective and is not something I subscribed to or even mentioned in this video.

    CONT...

  • CONT...As far as my stating that the Celts "invented" Paganism, where did I say that? Or bring up the whole black vs. white magic bullshit? If you noticed below, I have already dealt with Wiccan-types {and so did a few others who did a better job with their astute and patient responses} that the lot of us who practice magic are either "good" or "bad" witches. In short, I don't buy into them road apples.

  • Too much elder scrolls

  • @TheSaiyanKing lol stupid kid fuck off

  • @Paghmani1sher said a sandnigger

  • I like that you used that image at 5:22. That is a drawing of Dr John Dee and Edward Kelly.

  • @TheEpicOtaku-

Umm.ok..this is like 5 months old. Apparently we differ.

Reply to your comment on: Necromancy

@CelticKnight369 You claimed that you are wiccan, yet you still call it dark arts? There is no dark magic. There is no black or white magic at all. There is only the people who use it wrong.

  • Enjoyed the video and commentary.

  • umm.. i heard necromacy is a dark art. im not sure if im for it i also heard its a type of magic satan uses is that true?

  • @skullcap17 Necromancy itself is not a Satanic thing. It is a path in and of itself. Satan has nothing to do with it.

  • I feel curious... would it be possible to perform necromancy on a youtuber who committed youtubicide?

  • @B0ssKay Necromancy is not about raising the dead as in "Zombies" It may or may not have been so centuries ago but today Necromancy is a form of divination, to contact the spirits of loved ones and old spirits to gain knowledge which the spirit must be willing to impart to the practitioner. It also has to do with learning about, getting to know and understand Death, as the Arch Angel Azrael. He does not cause death but keeps the records of death, life and transition and guides the deceased.

  • ohh, well hey there I recognize this voice :)

  • If you plan on collecting graveyard dirt, as said in the video, make sure to leave proper offerings. It is most common to pay with Mercury dimes, as it highlights Mercurys role as psychopomp. (Psychopomp is a Greek word in which the literal translation is "Guide of souls", the Japanese call them Shinigami.) "Death gods.")

  • You claim "often used" by Pagans, Wiccans etc. I'm here to inform you that I AM Wiccan and certainly do not do you as you claim here. I would respectfully ask that you do not NOT classify all of us as doing such things. In fact those whom I personally know who are also practitioners of Wicca and Pagan see this type thing as the dark arts which is something that we do not cross over to or subscribe to. Please don't put us ion this general category as you have. This is how neg assocs begins!

  • @CelticKnight369 As you noted yourself, I did not say ALL Pagans. I am a Pagan as well, as many of the people I know are too. Some do and so don't. Not every single Pagan subscribes to the whole karma thing, and I can tell you that most that I know {including myself} do not. There are a whole host of Pagans out there who try to distance themselves from the whole "everything is love & light" crowd, especially ones who embrace a more traditionalist or reconstructionist philosophy.

    CONT...

  • @nefaeria I will say I've enjoyed your Celtic vids though. Thank you for those! :-)

  • CONT... As far as the whole "negative associations" go, not all of us are interested in white-washing our religious and/or magical practices so we are "more accepted". I would rather observe my faith in whole, than some sanitized version of it. And I know that I am not alone in that.

  • @nefaeria What on earth are you going on about here? "white wash" and "sanitized version" and "more accepted" ??? What are you rambling on about? No, I'm quite confident you are not in the majority. You really, REALLY have gone off on a tangent here and got off track from the original conversation and took it to the next stratus sphere. Again though.. I did enjoy your other Celtic vids. Those were great!!!

  • @CelticKnight369 This was in response to this part of your first comment: "Please don't put us ion this general category as you have. This is how neg assocs begins!" It's a plea for me not to do something that I avoided to begin with {generalizing is something I always try to avoid and I think that this video is no exception}, and a plea to avoid spreading information that could be used as fodder for demonization.

    CONT

  • CONT...

And again you are trying to shoe-horn meaning and words into what I had originally said. I never said I was a part of the majority. But if we want to get technical, Wiccans are not a part of the majority either...I am pretty sure Christianity is the most prominant faith still.

Anyways, I am glad you enjoyed some of my Celtic videos. Thank you.

  • @nefaeria what is cont

  • @Paghmani1sher

    continue :S

It means he is continuing his post after going out of chars.

  • @nefaeria Not to jump into anything here, but I just wanted to say to you, CelticKnight: It seems that a few years ago when Wicca was on the rise, the common misconception among others was that Wiccans worshipped Satan. Of course, we know that's balogna. However, it seems Wiccans are now perpetrating their own kind of misconception: that all Pagans/Witches believe in the Threefold Law, karmic return, etc. I'm here to tell you that I certainly do not, and I relish and enjoy the many... cont...

  • @CelticKnight369 ...practices in which you may or may not consider "dark arts". I am a well-rounded Witch. I will curse as I see fit, just as I will help as I see fit. Personal ethics comes into play, of course, and while you may see any practitioner of the dark arts as "evil" or immoral or some such thing, I have to say I strongly disagree. If you had a criminal attempting to break in to your house and you owned a gun, would you not use it? Your complacency would be your own downfall. Cont....

  • @CelticKnight369 ...Anyway, just my own two cents. I'm proud to be a Witch of "grey magic" if that's what you'd like to call it. I protect my own and get shit done. :)

  • @nefaeria You cannot embrace one glib pat thing. There has to be a balance. light and dark work with each other and one cannot operate without the other. High Priest Demogorgon Invictus - Black Brotherhood.

  • @CelticKnight369 I am a traditional Cornish witch and I can tell you it is common. Necromancy is merely divination in conjunction with spirit communication (i.e. Ancestor Worship). I understand that most Wiccans and so-called neo-pagans get upset with this but you must understand traditional crafters do this often. I find it kinda sad that wiccans/neo-pagans reject tradition paths. However, it doesn't surprise me in the least. (CONT)

  • @hynafolbeara I'M NOT CORNISH...LOL That may be your way but not in the majority. I have to be honest here. You have a lot of rambling going on here. I'm going under the assumption at risk that you are under the age of 25. Your views are pertaining to what you consider your ways. Thats great for you. You specified you are a Cornish Witch. Fine and great but that does NOT mean you are in the majority. Why you put Wiccan in " " below? Please check grammar and spelling. Was hard to follow at times

  • @CelticKnight369 Again, not to be rude but please take a look at my most recent video on the topic. I think it will clear up some issues for you. Also, remember Traditional Witchcraft, Pellar Crafting, etc. and Wicca are not the same religion. Remember nefaeria is a Celtic Reconstructionalist and do to that her views my not reflect your 'wiccan' ones. (CONT)

  • @CelticKnight369 Lastly, If you are serious about the craft I suggest you read on Traditional Witchcraft and stop reading craptastic new age books from Llewellyn. btw, try not to be so uptight...and myopically not to my friend.

  • @hynafolbeara A) I've been Wiccan since 1996 and B) I was taught traditionally NOT via book training and C) I DO read other authors other than those published via Llewellyn which BTW...had NOTHING to do with this topic.

    Thanks anyways

  • @CelticKnight369 okay, I can respect that but I am not in the mood to have an 'who is more pagan' conflict. Simply speaking, I was raised pagan so I guess its been oh 28 years. Additionally, I think we are having a difference of opinion in the word 'traditional'. I term traditional as non-Wiccan pagan traditions. In regards to my jab about Llewellyn...it was merely meant to be a snarky comment. I will no longer reply to these comments and I have blocked you. God speed.

  • @hynafolbeara

@CelticKnight369 I will no longer reply to these comments and I have blocked you. God speed.

    hynafolbeara

    ROCK ON...ROFL...LOL

  • @CelticKnight369 ROCK ON...ROFL

  • @hynafolbeara WHOS uptight. I think nefaeria is an adult. she doesn't need your protection. BTW..you obviously DIDN'T see my compliment in regards to her Celtic vids. NOW..whos uptight???

  • @CelticKnight369 I did see that statement but I just found the rest of your concerns to be rather ill-informed. I am a traditionalist so most wiccans annoy me. I apologize if I offended you but I call it as I see it. Yes, I am a bloody uptight Brit...you have a point? Lastly, wither she is an adult or not doesn't matter...your statement was reminiscent of trolling and thus I said my point of view. In any case I am sorry my words have left a sour taste in your mouth. Forgive me. take care!

  • @CelticKnight369 This is why I dislike most wiccans. @nefaeria have you heard of the Azrael Project?

  • I have always been and always will be a necromancer. Thank you for the information.

  • Awesome vid!!! I am happy that you mentioned voodoo and Santeria. I am from the Caribbean and I saw my family members specially my grandparents often engaged in necromancy rituals during my childhood. Is something that I cherished and remember vividly. Thanks

  • Thanks for the vid, it was very informative :)

  • Everyone in the comments section sounds like there going through a phase you all sound like immature children talking about necromancy as if you have raised the deceased or contacted them through some form of divination i highly doubt any of you of achieved any type of supernatural delving your all just bored and none productive.

  • @Academic1Researcher And lemme guess, you're the next Merlin?

  • @nefaeria @nefaeria Lol no im not the next merlin im not trying to do magic just trying to study it not practice it.

  • Can someone train me to be a necromancer or tell me like a book or something where I can learn?

  • @bradshawtroy420 You want someone to train you to be a necromancer and your 30......please get a life omg if you knew anything about necromancy you wouldn't be here since your so interested then go to your local library and get a published grimoire about necromancy your 30 theres no excuse for you to not already be wise you sound like a child please try to evolve in your mind.

  • @Academic1Researcher And you're a troll, you have just as much as a life as the people you are insulting. Besides I couldn't find a book on necromancy at my local library.

  • @Firewallz3 Im not a troll just studying but heres the name of a book on necromancy "The Necromantic Ritual by Wendell Leilah"

  • @Academic1R Seriously, I would have had a lot more respect for your opinion if you came on here and just said that the idea of necromancy is stupid.

Yet, instead you come on here and insult all the commenters, making it sound like we're all wet behind the ears and playing. But of course YOU know what you are doing and you are a REAL magician/sorcerer/orwhateveryoucallyourself.

Those who have been touched by the Beloved & Mighty Dead have no need to brag about their "powers".

    Slàinte!

  • @nefaeria No i don't believe i have achieved any magical endeavors that would sound stupid lol it sounds like you are trying to appear as such but ill pass all negativity and wish you good health as well very interesting video btw :)

  • @Academic1R In that case I apologize.

Where I have said that I have animated a corpse? In fact, where have I mentioned any of my "magical feats?" Any detail that I have gone into for my own situation is ancestor reverence, which is a part of my religious practice. It's not much different than taking a statement of someone who said they went to church and then turning it into them saying that they are prophets.

    CONT...

  • @nefaeria No i think your taking this too seriously i believe in spirituality and i also believe its quite hard to achieve magic thats about it.

  • @Academic1Researcher What do you think that I am taking too seriously? Your insults or my religious practice?

  • @nefaeria I wasn't insulting you i was saying previously that id be stupid and retarded to think i could perform necromancy and succeed being a novice learner but yeah your entitled to your own beliefs and no one can judge you for it.

  • @Academic1Researcher Um... You said "Everyone in the comments section sounds like there going through a phase you all sound like immature children talking about necromancy as if you have raised the deceased or contacted them through some form of divination i highly doubt any of you of achieved any type of supernatural delving your all just bored and none productive."

  • @nefaeria i didnt mean you lol just the 30 year old dude and the people with stupid comments

  • @Academic1R I guess next time it would be a good idea to choose your words more carefully then. Otherwise, when you say "everyone" folks are likely to think that you mean everyone. Even still, I do find your comment distasteful for a few reason, not least of which you say that you are a novice learner, implying that not only are you studying necromancy as a folklorist, but you have an interest in the practical application as well.

  • @nefaeria *sigh* lol I said novice learner i didn't say novice practitioner.

  • @Academic1Researcher Yes, a novice learner. Someone who is learning about necromancy. A student of necromancy. However you want to spin it, it implies the desire to practice. Not just reading up on it as someone like a folklorist.

  • @nefaeria I seriously don't want to debate or even talk to you please stop replying its showing you have no life what so ever.

  • @Academic1Researcher Right, you come to a thread in my video insulting folks and I need to get a life? If you don't wish to hear from me then don't address me or say things on the comment section of my videos. Pretty simple.

    Toodles!

  • CONT...

And as far as your claim that we are just bored and playing….while I can’t speak for the motivations of others, do you not think that there would be plenty of other things that one could do to fill the void of boredom? I could think of at least a handful of easier things than religious ritual and practice. Again, unless you think that religion was created as a hobby, such as gaming and hockey.

    CONT...

  • CONT.

So I gather that since you believe that it is stupid, you are an unwavering materialist? I can respect the opinion of someone who thinks that the belief in ALL unseen things is ridiculous. That would mean that they do not believe in ANY spiritual things, including gods, or a soul, or an afterlife. I can respect that position because it is consistent. If that opinion comes from someone who is not a materialist, then it is just the pot calling the kettle black. In other words, hypocrisy.

  • So would it be possible to bring someone who was cremated back?

  • i found that the best way to get started out is through your history lessons on the subject, you must research, study and understand that it is in every culture in all four corners of the earth and has been a staple in societies up until the recent past. Once you begin to understand it you may shape it to your own needs.

  • An excellent video on the Art of Necromancy! It is a branch of magic that I do not climb myself, but I do honor my ancestors in various ways. I have different ways of divining what is to be that does not involve the dead. However, a good walk in a graveyard is an excellent time to think as it is so peaceful and empty of the living. A cemetery makes an excellent spot of working if you have permission from the spirits of the place. I have read that an offering of ale and pennies is sufficient.

  • @TwistingWays Thanks for the kinds words and for watching! It is always nice to hear the input of other traditional practitioners. :)

  • @nefaeria But of course :D A friend of mine just posted a recently released pdf on Norse funeral rites. It is very exciting.

  • @TwistingWays I saw that today on the Forest Grove blog. :)

  • @nefaeria Have you read any of it yet? I need to take some time to save it to my computer, get comfortable, and have a read.

  • @TwistingWays I have just browsed through it so far. I think that you definitely have the right plan in mind. Printing it off might be better on my poor old eyes as well.

  • @nefaeria The light from the computer makes my eyes tired if I stare for too long hehe. I have printed off other books (andrewchumbleycough) and it takes up so much paper hehe! But double side printing is your friend.

  • @TwistingWays You definitely have good taste, sir! The Grimoire of the Golden Toad and Azoetia are both on my wishlist for hard copies. ;)

  • @nefaeria So necromancy is a normal part of magick just like any other? I suppose any style of magick can be used for bad. But your video has shed light on a very touchy subject. Bravo

  • @stifler3535 Necromancy isnt normal... calling the undead, spirit, or whatever thigns that are classified as undead...

Ima Wiccan but some of us uses black magick and some of us uses White magick

    beside Necromancy isnt my style

  • @ErikaFurudoXXx Necromancy is a very normal thing it has been a human urge and ability to communicate with the dead and other beings since ancient Sumeria it is in every culture of the world. is death not just a normal phase in life?

  • @stifler3535 yes and with any other magick what determines it being "Good" or "Evil" is the sorcerer, Necromancer or what ever title they go by. its like nuclear technology you can use it for good or bad its up to you =D

  • by the way people stay away from "ars falcis" website as it just uses childish nonsense on this practice, it will only demonize the karma around you and your family. this is not true necromancy it is more satanic D&D cultist's perspective of the subject

  • @atmas7 Untrue. There are many strains of Necromancy, not all Necromancers honour the dead, nor love them. Necromancy is also not simply divining with the dead. It has many aspects, for the energy of Death is a very powerful and universal force.

Simply because one does not agree with a Necromancer weaving death energy against others, does not mean it is false.

  • @atmas7 im new to necromancy and ars falcis was the first souce of infomation i got on it could you suggest any other websites that might be a better place to start

  • in my experiences if you choose to conjure up spirits other than ancestors they tend to be quite grouchy at first, then once they get used to you being aware of their presence, given that you have good intentions of knowledge they will share a piece of information that can change you forever, if your intentions are malignant, then they will be just that towards you, so unless you want to be loving an respectful of those who crossed into void, adolescent immaturity only fevers demons.

  • well-done!

  • Dear Laurel:

Very well-done video! Excellent information - far above and beyond the ridiculous nonsense spewed out by loopy Wiccans on Youtube. People can and do believe in anything, but its nice to see someone approach a belief in a sensible manner, rather than as some form of play or zealotry.

    Congratulations on this presentation.

  • I think I'll stay away from this for a few years until I'm completely sure i can "put down what i raise up" ;)

  • I have to admit, the idea that loved one's would be angry to be disturbed scares me!! I'll just remember them from a distance, let them rest in peace ;)

    Great video!

  • @ShadesofScorpius Thanks dear! :)

  • I guess the dead could have knowlege we don't. but the dead I've felt didn't want to help me at all =S

  • @jihadacadien Those are the types that I like to avoid. ;)

  • yeah me too but somtimes they find you lol!

  • You are correct Odinists and other heathens do this,, we call the feast a blot. Another cool video!

    Wassail!

  • Cool! :) Does working and honouring ancestors generally take a central role within Odinism?

  • @nefaeria For me and my group it does but not for everyone.

  • This is very informative and well done! This video might be my favourite of all the ones that you have made so far.

  • Hey, hey! Glad you like it lady! Feel free to share some of your own thoughts on it if you like. :)

  • @nefaeria Maybe I will make a video about it soon. :-)

  • @SimoneElleChavez

    That would be awesome! :)

  • beautiful and informative video!

  • Thanks GingerMystic! :)
