  • No rules.

  • DAMN!

  • This why so many accident happen everyday... NO DICIPLINE...

  • not one person got hit that day lol

  • Lots of worse places to drive in the world like Bombay and Dheli, but the noise in Manila is relentless, together with the heat and pollution, i love it and can`t wait to go back there in june, great country and great people...

  • cause of manila traffic: too much vehicles on the road poor public transport system (eg mrt, lrt), many malls, establishments along major roads hence too many puv's and pedestrians causing slow traffic flow, too many people living in manila and still growing because all major businesses and establishments are there. solution: none just suck it up or live elsewhere!

  • Traffic would be alot faster and smoother if people just stayed in their lanes. -__-

  • Damn, their government need to impliment proper Road Safety Acts. People and vehicle-traffic is all over the place. Scary for foreign drivers!!!

  • Ants dont have Problems like we do

  • LMAO No cross walks?

  • Comment removed

  • This reminds me of Rome traffic.

  • I have parents who were born in the Philippines. now I'm scared.

  • see how good filipino drivers

  • look at all those j walkers

  • @martian15xx im a filipino and if u say that things cuz if we go poof then some of the rare animals and cool sightings go poof too so just shut up and ur just jealous cuz of some reasons

  • DIRTY COUNTRY!! UGLY PEOPLE UNLESS YOUR MIXED!! UNEDUCATED!! CLEAN THE PLACE UP DUMMIES!! MAKE A LAW TO PREVENT PEDESTRIANS FROM CROSSING ANYWHERE!! FUCKIN MONKEYS NO RULES WHATSOEVER!!

  • @martian15xx that coming from a guy who came from mars...right martian...Ugly???Filipinas are some of the most beautiful women in the world you idiot...and Monkeys???if you know human evolution you will know that all of us are monkeys...you fucking idiot!...and there are rules and laws here you idiot...some idiots here just like you just dont follow them like a stupid idiot...so go troll on other vids and display your idiotic ideas to idiots just like you idiot.

  • this looks like... Buendia Avenue?

  • solution:

sunugin lahat ng jeep bus pedicab at tricycle

    who's with me?

  • thats why ASEAN should stick together to improve things like this!

  • hindi edsa yan .. buendia yan .. duhh ..

  • Population control. One that the church seems to not oppose as adamantly as the others.

  • I have driven a motorbike in the phils and have to say it looks crazy but if you adopt an attitude like the pinoys you are okay and accidents are quite rare, I used to hang on to the back of other vehicles in slow moving traffic quite often you just adapt to that style also people there use their horns more as a way of saying "hey I am here" rather than western idea that horns are for aggression

  • @WELLBRAN Right on. Use the horn to tell someone else you're on their back when driving in Manila. But here in the US, I lay down the horn to tell four-wheelers to get the fuck off the front of my Freightliner whenever I'm pulling a load.

  • @WELLBRAN i agree with you 100% in order for anyone to drive in manila, even bus drivers, you have to be fearless.

  • @pinoypower247 well yes fearless but when you are in it you do not feel fear there is a kind of trust thing going on and as i say accidents are rare...you learn to look around in the road alot more than in the west, and for that you get sharper somw western countries are experimenting now with no road markings and everyone finds there position at junctions and it can work quite well, its when us westerners apply our rules while on the road thats when the accidents happen

  • @pinoypower247 i was in a rural area in the phils one time and the bus was really crowded and i went for miles hanging onto the rail of the bus door....while standing outside the bus...never gave it a thought you just adapt but if i had to do that here in the west i would be scared....lol

  • here's what i have to say.. if you can drive here. u can drive anywhere.. lol

  • @BrgyTibay23

I agree people say asian drivers are terrible but if you come to third world country and experience the road there and how people drive.. holy fuck. its very scary and interesting at the same time. the bus own the fucking roads, the taxi drivers drive like they have a time limit on their ass, and the police don't do shit, in fact if you cut a police car off the road, he will honk at your ass and make sure he goes first and not you lol.

  • @BrgyTibay23 i've been there, its true

  • after viewing this video, leonidas himself finally clicked the dislike button in disbelief

  • OMFG, thats in EDSA ! ! ! Look at those pedestrians. There are still a humungus amount of undisciplined Manilans.

  • believe me... when the light turns yellow, it really means go faster!

  • filipinos really have no discipline when it comes to the road lol seriously man

  • Oh yea, and people have bars even on the second-story windows. Never seen that in America. I guess the thieves there got laddders, lol. I don't know, maybe they're more for decoration. They have grocery supermarkets inside the mall. Colmada stores everywhere, people even turn their living rooms into colmadas. Tin/cardboard shanties along the RR tracks like virtual cities. I stayed in QC the whole time, right in the jungle of Manila. Oh yea and my $150 textbooks only cost $20.

  • This is exactly what I remember most from my 3 week trip in Manila. Yet this video isn't half as crazy as the other daily traffic scenes I witnessed when I was there. That whole city boggled my mind in so many ways. Even the urban architecture I couldn't quite wrap my head around. The houses look more like compounds or auto-mechanic shops from the outside. Some even have little chinese pagodas on top..never quite figures out what those were for.

  • uhh....this dosent happend on lesser populated cities in the philippines like baguio or butuan or something ._.

  • total fucked up,dumb people from asia

  • The pedestrians just do whatever the heck they want xD

  • Hello @ianmullen, i sent you a private message re this video :)

  • nilinyahan pa! nak ng puta! di naman nasusunod! ayos! pinas! love it!

  • I love how there are lanes in the street but no one uses them

  • hi ianmullen, can i use this awesome video of your for a project?

    let me know =))

  • EDSA TAFT or GIL PUYAT??

  • EDSA taft??

  • WOAH IT'S LIKE FROGGER- IN REAL LIFE!

  • I really hate the way they keep distance between cars very tight, that doesn't help anything,it spooks the drive infront,it's causing higher risk of getting crashed, and during sticky situation, they cant get out to change lane

  • Less accidents reported here then in western countries. And when there is an accident, if gets pulled off the the side and traffic keeps moving. I doubt the police get involved at all. Too many people and no insurance claims to deal with.

  • @Daraymann that's hella true.

    that's good if you're a motorist.

but if you're the one involve in the accident you're lucky if you survive. fucking ambulance with get to you in

t minus 5 hours lol. before the ambulance get there all the bystanders will rob you and leave you lying for your life. and even when the ambulance get there they wont imediately rush you to the hospital, theyd be caught off with the media and the interview first. real nice indeed.

  • stop blaming the politicians...the filipinos themselves can only blame themselves for the way their country moves...

  • It's also like in Thailand that the bus can park in the middle of the road.

  • Basta pinoy Sawa mag maneho palipat lipat ng linya

  • shit so noisy!

  • @emailroy2002 That is an understatement

  • Welcome to Manila, hahaha! It's a different world, but it's only confusing when you first arrive. Once you figure it out, and that drivers won't run you over, they just close the gaps fast. And use of the horns is common all around the Philippines, with pedestrians, bycicles, motorcycles & tricycles, cars, JEEPNYS, trucks, buses and YES "OX Carts" sharing the roads, they honk as they pass slower vehicles

  • Comment removed

  • ok lang naman ang traffic...but i have plans to make a tunnel here extending to roxas boulevard and some ped tunnels sa mga strategic points ng C3 Road

  • @kingofkards91 the fact that you're not dead right now only means that the traffic situation in Manila has improved. If you happen to go here 10 years earlier i don't think you'll even survive :D

  • I'm an American and the very first day I was in Manila I thought I was going to die the traffic is absolutly ridiculous and the worst are the damn jeepney drivers and the douchebags on the motorcycles didn't help either

  • in ozzy its a violant place to be when driving.if you take little long to move the arseholes want to get out and kill you.shit of a place to live.more wankers per square mtr there now than anywhere els in world, mainly nzders, here in manilla where i now live theres no anger on the roads.

  • stuff that

  • The Philippines government should put in more overhead bridges or underground bridges to improve the safety of those crossing busy roads.Causalties caused by road accidents incur a heavy loss in human economic values

  • what did i just saw..lol..the more u watch the more u get stress. . LOL.

  • LOl reminds me of GTA2

  • they dont have traffic lights ?

  • Is that FROGGER I hear playing in the background. Goddess, I'm getting old

  • i take it all back. SOME filipinos are whacked up. like @zachi70 over here. dude, i've lived here for more than ten years. my sister married a filipino guy, they have children, i have filipino friends of course i know how to speak filipino. gosh and give it a rest will ya! darling, this is a YOUTUBE VIDEO ok? gosh as if your arguments will solve anything. so zip your mount bitch! you don't know me i don't know you. keep your fucked up insights to yourself. cuz i ain't listenin no more.

  • @jinxterpopstar Oh wow, I really riled you up. YESSS! So you said shut my "mount"? You can't even type correctly! You are one sad individual and you really amuse me. Keep the comments coming!

  • @zachi70 uh sure. glad to be amusing?

  • @zachi70 Hahahahaha I loove your conversations. It's so amusing.

  • @filipinaLuella Thanks!

  • Traffic there is hard to reinforce, because of overpopulation and the government being corrupt.

  • Hey... that's in the corner of Buendia and Taft... that little street is Donada going towards Manila Adventist Medical Center...

  • Kaya pala its always been a joke na asian aren't safe drivers eheheh filipinos alone nakakatakot talaga sorry no offense naririnig ko lang..

  • watching this gives me headache

  • @gangstermack hahahah :D

  • LIFE is CHEAP in the Philippines. It's true and it's a shame because it is a beautiful country. People and government needs to realise that unless action is taken very soon, its cities will soon turn into a DUMPING skip. It is already getting there...wake up Philippines! focus on environmental issue rather than watching day time TV!!!!!!!!!

  • @MissKikit Rather focus on everything: eradicate copycat

mentality, stay away from watching GMA/ABS channels.

  • cuno858...Let's be civilize, please. I would appreciate a non-racist and healthy conversation. Please keep your critics to a minimum level. you don't want to be bombarded by Filipinos, like me. Just so happens that I'm NICE and in a good mood.

  • @benteunerz36

He's entitled to his own opinion. As I am to my own.

    @cuno858

    Burn in hell you dipshit!

  • Eww the Phillipines is such a nasty ass looking dump. You couldn't pay me enough to step one foot in that feces and urine infested country.

  • @cuno858

You'd be happier if it rains.

  • @cuno858 FUCK YOU! puta ka gago

  • @rrevamuntan Hahahaha why do ya say that :D

  • @laoag29 no i'm not. but i was raised here. and my brother married a filipina. i'm pure american.

  • oh my god look at the jeepney. they dropping the passenger evrywhere thats sucks...

  • Hahaahahaaaha!!!!!!! Some idiot painted lines on the road

  • @690337ss Hahahahaha :D You're funny.

  • 1:22 how the cab cuts off the jeepney ROFLFLF

  • less accidents here than in western countries. canadian drivers would have died.

  • Familys getting thrown off motorcycles and buses fipping over with no seatbelts... you must be joking. What about Canada?

  • I have nothing against Canadians. but dont be surprised if they cannot handle driving in this situation or gets a heart attack. More focus and situational awareness are needed.

  • @ianmullen I've been living in Canada for years and I'm pretty sure Greyhound buses or any transit buses in particular (Edmonton, Vancouver, Ottawa) doesn't have any seat belt provided for the passengers. as for the comment above, I think the person is just joking.

  • @ianmullen

He's sort of right. The chances of getting killed in a car accident in Manila is extremely slim because of the suffocatingly slow traffic... and dare I say, world-class skills of the drivers. This sort of traffic produces very major accidents.

  • @JoeBlo2

    correction: "very FEW major accidents".

  • @ianmullen no, he's right, more people are being killed in road rages, here in philippines, not that much. Y? Because we're more used to these bumper to bumper traffic jams in such ways, we're getting more and more cautious and able to know what to do. In short, We're more experienced driver than in other countries.

  • this shows manila traffic has gone so bad from worse and shows no sign of improving. phil lawmakers should come over here in ontario and watch how drivers and pedestrians share the road the right way. but i guess, they prefer to watch pakiao in vegas than listening to people who cares. one more thing is, they still have more chance to step back in pathetic manila.

  • @megahazel: ONTARIO?! You're comparing apples to oranges. That's like Miami! Easy driving shit! Try driving around in central MOTHERFUCKING Manhanttan. Or even Newark, NJ. Hindi malayo ang similarities sa Manila. Everything. From the people to the environment. Hell, it even reminds me of Edsa, although mas matindi ang gitgitan sa Broadway.

  • welcome to the philippines hehehe!!

  • There is only one thing that my uncle could say: "If you can drive through the streets of Manila, you're damn sure that you can drive through the hellhole and out in New York City".

  • Rush hour ito! Kaya people nagmamadali sila. At saka its obvious ang mga buses ay walang full stop na area where to drop their passengers..

  • Nope, sorry, it really is MENTAL. So what kung rush hour?

  • Rush hour, too many people too many buses, jeepneys, bikes, etc..

  • AWW! how could you say that about your own country? i'm not filipino but i LOVE the philippines! Cmon! that's not the way to think. well, no wonder your country looks bleak in your eyes. you're not thinking positive enough. BTW i can understand what you said and that's not entirely true. not being disciplined and ignorant are EFFECTS of poverty. Maybe you're the one who is "BOBO" for not even realizing that.

  • Comment removed

  • @jinxterpopstar Well, you said it yourself. YOU'RE NOT FILIPINO. So you have no idea how frustrating it is to see how my country can't even establish and follow something as basic as traffic rules. So STOP PRETENDING THAT YOU KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND KEEP QUIET.

  • @zachi70 now i pity your country for having a citizen like you. no wonder traffic hasn't improved because people like you already accepted it to be that way forever. BTW, i live here so i know a lot more than you think.

  • @jinxterpopstar About my opinions, I was just being honest with my views and just being realistic. But wow! You're really fluent in filipino for someone who says he's not one! I really don't think you're being honest about your nationality. If you really "care" about the traffic situation and the Philippines in general, WHY WOULD YOU DENY THAT YOU'RE FILIPINO? You're so full of contradictions. Stop embarassing yourself.

  • Do crosswalks exsist in the philippines??

  • no lol u cross u run for your life..

  • if you survived the traffic in Manila, kaya mo na kahit saang lupalup ka pa mapunta!!!

  • great choas.....but no accident!!!! amazing!puede kang mag para kahit saan mo gusto walang proper na pedestrian or stop sign, pag malapit ka na sa lugar na puntahan mo,sumigaw ka lang ng"mama'para ho"..hahaha...i did that more often when i was searching for a job 8years ago,but i never get one though im a degree holder.pero kahit hindi me nakapaghanap ng trabaho sa pinas i still love my choas country....hahaha....i love my homeland!

  • eh PUTANG INA MO...GET A LIFE or GO TO HELL!!!

  • wow, it's like frogger

  • lmao this is funny.. ppl like time their walk perfectly and avoid liek 2 cars at once haha

  • corny ba?

  • soooooooooo random.... needs law enforcement seriously

  • awesome video! i miss home

  • Magulong bahay...

Only inthe Philippines.

  • tama ka dyan, ser. It makes our country unique: when reffered to roads... lol

  • Yep! onli in da pilipins!!!!!!.....

  • Ah I miss Manila Already!

  • OMG first time watching this and people cant freakin drive in the philippines.. i get so irritated when people dont stay in their lanes here or jay walk infront of me.. ima start going ghetto when i get home hahha

  • ANO ANG PAMBANSANG LARO NG PILIPINAS?

    SAGOT: PATENTERO. hahahahaha:D

  • haha, Ain't that the truth

  • Oh yeah, and the MRT has to be expanded significantly to get more cars off the road. Something like 'the El' in downtown Chicago would probably make the most sense. The El does a circle around the downtown skyscrapers and branches out from that circle like a sunburst; something like that could be done around places like Makati.

  • Manila needs a lot more underground or bridge crossways for pedestrians.

  • Where in Manila was this vid taken ??

  • I guess this is in Gil Puyat area.

  • lolol funny. I miss this sorta stuff, but honestly its embarrasing to see so many people not following any rules!

The problem among the masses in the Philippines has always been LACK OF DISCIPLINE! Rules are either not enforced properly by the local government or it's NEVER followed by the population, whether they're pedestrians, bus/jeepney/tricycle/car drivers, traders or residents...

This situation really has to change if the country is gonna go anywhere good in future...

  • Thats cause in Asian countries....china,phillipines,malaysia,indonesia,india you have CHAOS.....corruption,bribery,overpopulation,poor infrastructure, lack of law and order and no rules and NO STRICTLY ENFORCED GUIDELINES....in western countries you have BETTER ORGANISATION...better infrastructure, lots of little rules that must be followed, good policing and law and order and public scrutiny of politicians AND STRICTLY ENFORCED GUIDELINES.

  • Vehicle replacement brakes and horn sales must be insane in that country.

  • OMG! Why do people walk on the street?

  • Nagkakaroon na ng malaking "MARKETING SA KALSADA" made by public transportation drivers thus, makes our roads as a very dangerous to lead!

  • Yang mga public transportation drivers are the ones who are causing too much chaos, ok. Not MMDA!

Nakaka Culture shock sila!

Kapag naaksidente ka nang dahil sa mga KAGAGAGUHAN NILA , anong maririnig mo kundi EXCUSES OR SHALL WE SAY So many unending ALIBIS ng mga yan!

  • Manila pedestrians are the modern-day ninja warriors.

  • wer is that?? quezon ave ba?! hay, i mizz home, manila traffic noise is like music...i miz the tricycles rattering by at night when u goin to sleep...

  • lol why don't they put a pedestrian crossing...? and traffic lights?

  • they dont have budget for that. all the money goes to the politicians pockets. peace po!

  • we have trafficlights but i don't know hot to use them...^^

  • TRAFFIC with JAYWALKERS ! ! ! Hirap talagang disiplinahin ang mga PINOY ! ! !
