  • @ rizzo

    FUCK OFF

  • wtf is this?? def not steppin razor. wac! Liv forever peter t these people will never be able too cover u

  • @rizzo021 fucking queer know what your talking about first. this is one of the best bands ever

  • @LarryMane This does not compare to Peter Tosh. SUblime just a house band tried to cover caribbean and latin themes in an attempt to grab the doller. Dont speak of things such as Zion or pretend to understand cultural ideas such as santeria if that is not your life.. dumb kids watch a white guy covering other peoples music and think he original

  • @rizzo021 Learn to spell and stop hating on people that make great tributes.

  • 1998-1999

  • R.I.P. Bradley FUCK HEROIN

  • @hypnotizem1ndz as a recovering dopehead u could not be any more correct FUCK HEROIN. Brad helps me stay stronger i kno hes here helping me, hes death was not in vain friends hes doing something way greatere in the afterlife, hes helping lostsouls like myself find themselves and to stay safe. :) R.I.P BRAD.... im not angry u used heroin n died. lying in my plastic bed thinking how things wernt so cool to me..

  • @dubstepnwobble Well if you think about it his death was is vain...

  • christoph sold the bag that brought bradley down.

  • one of the best covers i found

  • @Malvo052 definitely agree though i still love the original

  • The beggining of the song is the intro to "Do It Again" by Steely Dan.

  • @Magnificooooo I Dont think Bradley Would Appreciate Your Racism.

  • shut up youtube thugs and just dig the music!

  • I see you sublime, and that 808

  • PETER TOSH'S VERSION KILLS THIS PIECE OF SHIT

  • @mattyblues101 whatever, this version is still sick as fuck. quit hatin

  • @mattyblues101 dont be a flaming faggot, I'd stomp your face in if I ever heard you dissing Sublime in my company

  • @Magnificoooooo HAHAHA you fuckn twat...let me know where to find you so you can put your money where your mouth is pussy..PM me

  • @mattyblues101 Lol so you're a fucking beaner, please kid.. Feliz Navidad you piece of shit wetback! :)

  • @mattyblues101 Lol get outta here. No one cares for your opinion. Sublime is a timeless band and does amazing covers.

  • killed me when mtv said brad was dead....Sublime got my life straight and I stopped gettin worked up over small shit...without it i wouldnt be where i am now....rightious music good for the mind

  • he made it sound gay

  • im just disappointed they couldnt call this last ditch effort to keep the "sublime" name putting money in their pockets something else!

  • @yellowtailhunter

This is their 2nd album, released between 40oz to Freedom and their self-titled, dont act like you know what youre talking about when you dont.

  • fuck heroin

  • @1RDP1 if he just would of stuck to the ganga man.. he'd be down here lighting up festivals around the world. RIP Bradley.

  • Comment removed

  • @1RDP1 hey if bradley had to leave us so soon, im glad he did it in a super fun way

  • @medeadtwo doing heroin isn't fun...

  • @medeadtwo Dieing on a bed while his friends thought he was asleep? doesn't sound like fun to me...

  • R.I.P. Bradley

  • this song used to hit hard in my old bug only had 2 10's, guess it was the acoustics

  • Very chill version. Damn shame that Joe Higgs didn't get the residuals for the song like he should have, though.

  • Id rather have Sublime with Rome than no Sublime at all

  • @NWFADVOCATE

It's just not the same without Bradley..

  • i like peter tosh better

  • Peter Tosh's version is good too, but somehow i think sublime made it better, using less primitve methods, synthesizers and stuff, and that crazy electric gutar riff. bravo to sublime and peter tosh

  • @redyouth12 "Primitive methods"?

  • @InfiniteRiddims when i say primitive methods i mean no synthesizers, less electricity all together. peter tosh's was acoustic, more raw, and stripped down. look up primitive, i'm applying that definition to music. sorry if it was confusing, maybe i used the wrong word, who knows?

  • @InfiniteRiddims when i post it twice, i'm a dumass lol

  • One of my favorite Sublime songs.

  • I so love this version better than peter's ..sorry

  • ive loved sublime since the late 90s..

and i was born in 94.

  • @GumBeatingTV gaaaay but alright...I'll roll with it :D

  • @TheDouchesupreme haha aight, good enough. :P it sounds cheesey, but my pops said i loved sublime when i was little

  • @GumBeatingTV Sigh...*grips walking cane and begins to reminisce with a manly tear in my eye* the 90's were just yesterday. Clearly your pops was puttin you on the righteous path. Giving thanks to Jah there are youngsters like you out there.

  • @GumBeatingTV Word same here. Sister showed me wrong way when I was about 6 and I loved it haha

  • @spenceDc nice(:

  • @GumBeatingTV Yeah, dood

  • bad ass song for real fans

  • i always like sublime covers better than the original but i gotta say i like peter tosh's version better

  • I love skating to this song

  • Sublime is my favorite band ever, followed closely by Bob Marley. So when i hear Sublime do a kick ass cover of a Peter Tosh song I think fucking perfect.

  • sublime w/ rome isn't what sublime was, sorry. the musics still great cause eric and bud are still around, but they lost their voice. read the new lyrics of the "sublime" songs coming out... they lack content. Brad was truly unique, but Rome just doesn't have the same feeling. his songs have shit for no meaning.

  • @NapoleonLenker nothing wrong with trying to bring back the loving vibes, im sure brad would be happy.

  • if you are a fooley

  • @JFizoust what other songs did sublime cover of peter tosh?

  • @AndrewDavisMusic I know Legalize It was a Tosh hit. I would also like to add that "Sampled" would probably be a more appropriate word than "Covered". But They pay a lot of respect and homage (sp?) to some of the orig Reggae, Ska, Roots Rock Reggae etc in the majority of their albums. My favorite would be Tenor Saw - Ring The Alarm. Also, Barrington Levy's the shit!

An already comprised list of the orig songs Sampled/Covered:

    talkbass.com/forum/f19/most-sublime-songs-old-reggae-covers-307493/

  • @JFizoust Also, I didn't see this song on the list, but this is the beat for Caress Me Down youtube.com/watch?v=Wjw7m-BKmQ8 - Wayne Smith - Under Me Sleng Teng.

I enjoyed reggae before I did Sublime (Marley) but Sublime, and fellow youtubers, opened me up to some reggae and ska that I would have never found by myself.

  • Atmosphere uses the steppin razor in his god loves ugly song

  • @fallenrise321 really? how?

  • @trishkillls hear the song

  • SO good

  • I wish they would play this in clubs, haha

  • @damiendilucchio1 unfortunately kid if you were a real sublime fan you wouldn't care and still listen to the music

  • long beach, NEW YORK!

  • @damiendilucchio1

2 weeks? try 14 years. if you were a "true" sublime fan, then someone who's good enough for bud and eric would be good enough for you

  • @ratstaroots fuck that thats not sublime they're just trying to make money off the fuckin name

  • @1RDP1

you're obviously just a fan of only brad. in case you havent noticed eric and bud are 2/3s of sublime with rome

  • Comment removed

  • if you were a " "true" " sublime fan you wouldnt like bullshit thats not sublime its a fake

  • @1RDP1 HAHA dude are you fuckinjg kidding me? this is sublime. you're stupid.

  • @1RDP1

no shit its sublime with rome not sublime

  • @ratstaroots wow, I didn't realize there was a contest... I guess that disqualifies me then eh?

  • @darkmark420

its not and i never said it was...

  • Makes me feel high every time i listen to it.

  • One of the greatest songs ever any question?

  • @damiendilucchio1 Oh, it's based on that now-a-days?

  • @damiendilucchio1 or you can like him as a step dad but still love your dad a lot more then the step dad, if you do that then you are a Sublime fan, if you dont then your a Bradley Nowell fan

  • @damiendilucchio1 well if i had got a step-dad id say fuck you aha but i completely know what you were saying, im sure bradley would have wanted sublime to spread good music.

  • i saw them. there were plenty of people i talked to that agreed he was a great replacement and that they are fuckin awesome even without bradley. but he was one of a kind.. but either way its still the same band but not the same band if u get wat im saying..

  • @Scruffie440 awesome? they suck now.

  • @1RDP1 were u there or something? obviously not

  • by far the illest....most epicness for shizzle lmao

  • Was 40 oz to freedom their debut or was it this one? Im confused :/

  • @Shamoo28 40oz to Freedom was the first (1992) and then Robbin' the Hood (1994)

  • the guy at the front of the album is wicked!!!!

  • f u utube trollz

  • I love the original song he is singing.

  • THERE COMIN TO THE ANTELOPE VALLEY! Oi!

  • This song and the rest of the album bring back memories. I would get high and when i went to sleep i would play this cd from start to finish about 3 times, and I still love it

  • Sublime was never a band for douchey OC bro kids.

    but now it is............

  • @jamesralcoon That's because no one's stepping up to stop the generation of douches.

  • @themdamnwheaties

parents need to take action and stop raising douchey children.

  • @freeenik They can't if they're douches too.

  • @jamesralcoon no.....its.........not

  • @jamesralcoon no.....its.........not, i agree to disagree

  • @jamesralcoon dont say that!

  • @jamesralcoon im sure your not but you sound douchey bro kid.

  • @jamesralcoon sublime is a band for everyone, its why there the best haha

  • @jamesralcoon fuck em! look at all the love we've found!

  • @jamesralcoon

well in case you didnt know sublime originated from orange county

  • @cannabisfaerie long beach

  • @jamesralcoon whats a douchey OC bro kid

  • Comment removed

  • @jamesralcoon No it isn't! That's just what they think.

Keep the roots of sublime and sublime fans alive!

  • Comment removed

  • I like that they kept the name, they should lose the "with Rome" part. I think as long as they stay true to the band and Bradley's memory then they have my full support , just call it Sublime though. Rome has a spirit to him and maybe a little bit of Bradley's too. R.I.P. Mr. Nowell, LONG LIVE SUBLIME!!!

  • This is my fav song to dance too :D

  • My Official theme song...

  • lots of heroin = good music...

  • @alexjoeluke Hell ya and a good day

  • ome's good and all, but if Bud and Eric decide to make new music, which they are, they should NOT be putting the name Sublime on that album cover... Sure, covering songs is one thing, but putting that name on a new album with new music isn't right. Sublime+ a new singer= an entire new band. It is not sublime and it will neverrr be sublime. You would not call Long Beach Dub All Stars, Sublime with Opie Ortiz and RAS-1. It is a whole new band, whole new sound. They're milking it. It's wrong..

  • Comment removed

  • yeah of course sublime is better but you have to admit rome isnt too bad and ive had robbin the hood, sublime and 40 OZ. TO FREEDOM since they came out i feel that its atleast respectful they dont go by just "Sublime".. atleast its "Sublime with Rome" and they pay respect and say they are not trying to replace him this is one of many bands who have had new singers/ band members ect....

  • I love sublime one of my favortie bands.

But Peter Tosh's original version will always be the best.

  • the stuff that kicks in at 0:38 sounds like the stuff that kicks in at 0:41 on vanilla ice - ice ice baby

  • i really want to hear a new sublime record featuring Rome , wonder how that chemistry would work

  • @Outsider557 July they are supposedly releasing an album

  • Bradley didn't watch his two sides - 'that is dangerous' - 'If you want to live, treat me good." Too eager - pushed in - too fast. Guy must have had shitty stuff for a while then some really good shit. Popped to fast AND... Humm! What a foolish mistake!

Amazing people CAN BE IDIOTS AS WELL!

  • @quininthomas I think it's cause his tolerance to heroin was low because he had been off it for a while. That's the fucked up thing about heroin, like it's almost better for junkies to just keep doing it and keep the tolerance up. It always seems like they od when they relapse

  • this hot chick named jill brought me this tape from stockton in like 94 or 95 and ive been hooked ever since. sublime is like the perfect mix of hip hop reggae punk whatever doesnt matter this is DOPE

  • @freeatlastification Tapes were the shit.

  • @freeatlastification

unless jill also gave you herpes or a child, this is definitely one of the most long-lasting things she could of given ya

  • @freeatlastification That's my hometown!! Haha hell ya, and Rome can suck it!

  • @freeatlastification jim's a good friend, I love sublime

  • DAMN this song is good! I dare say better than the original...

  • why is lady gaga on this page for suggested video? how dare they!

  • Bradley was the modern day Carlos Santana. If anyone has an opportunity like that, You must steer clear from heroin. Heroin is really powerful.

  • theres a song just like this it has the same first part before bradley sings. does anyone know what song that is?

  • @121128free maybe steppin razor with peter tosh and sublime

  • im dangerous so dangerous

  • same here bro.....

  • I love how I listen to Peter Tosh, and I stumbled upon this song from my other favorite band, both versions are great, peace and love from Cali to Jamaica

  • dangerous......so dangerous.

  • This song is THE SHIT! you had to be there. I wanna live... R.I.P. Bradley

  • old peter tosh song sublimes the master of takin old reggae lines and keepin them hard

  • 2 people stepped on on bradleys sides.

  • life is a whore

  • i thought he said., 'dont u watch my size" , but its all good, size or sides!

  • @AwWDesignZ like a razor- sharp sides! jus steppin about being a badboy

  • @AwWDesignZ

He does. It's size, not sides.

  • Theres something about this song that i get a weird feeling when listening to it. Reminds me of Donnie Darko or something idk....

  • @JoeAverage000 6 hours, 42 minutes, 12 seconds

  • @wolfservant5 lmfao i love that movie and this song lol

  • @JoeAverage000 Ditto. I heard the sequels sucked though. Much like the sequels to The Crow

  • I heard that version first, I like that version better.

  • @wolfservant5 whats that version and the better version and what is a steppin razor anyway?

  • Originally by peter tosh right?

  • @wolfservant5 right.

  • This riddim is so cool especially from 1:30 on to de end.

  • This album cover has always been hilarious to me.
