when i was commuting back in the fall, i had this album playing. At the end of the solo (1:39), I came atop of a hill, and saw the sunrise to my left. With the oranges, and the beauty of the song it was such a beautiful moment.
i actually tried this once, i said to myself "im gonna take up satch's challenge, and stay up all night long listening to out of the sunrise". it was absolutely incredible. and being a teenage rocker, i hate the whole idea of being awake at all, but this was amazing. i walked outside at 5 in the morning and played this song and just reflected on the beauty of life just like he said and it was one of the best things ive ever done. satch really knows how to live. i owe lots of my happiness to him.
and his music. definetely. anyone who can write a song as moving as this and make such a great experience for a simple listener and fan is easily the best musician in the world. the melody is perfect, his phrasing, so subtle and intricate, brings so much soul to the song. friggin satriani forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@diazcamille this is great but id like to give you some advice from someone who has been around quite a while....and that is dont put your happines on others or rely on others for happyness.....you wind up old and alone doing that...just some advice for you but this is a great place to get away to at times.
I love the reggae part when it kicks in. Another cool Satch tune. Thanks for posting this. Cool to see the way he was playing it at the start. This is my fave song on this album. This album took a while to grow on me. Anyone else? It's still good but I really felt like Satriani nailed it on Super Colossal.
whoever said that really dosent know the first thing about guitar... or he is just jealous......satch can play acoustic guitar and banjo very well too....check out his documentary....

How the fuck can he just spew out words that could be painted and framed and put on the wall? His speech in the beginning totally gave me goosebumps

That "sunset" reggae part of the song is probably one of the most soulful tunes in all of music.

Asik Veysel sort of sounds like Raspberry Jam Delta-V from the Crystal Planet album. It's pretty good.
