Wow. Their speed throughout that entire program was breathtaking. What a beautiful program. Shame about the fall, but as always, the quality of everything they do was so superior to anyone else at that time that they could afford a serious mistake. They're such a lovely pair.

I love this pair... they are like a perfect blend of Gordeeva & Grinkov and Mishkutenok & Dmitriev. Their look is classic G&G but they move with the passion and abandon of M&D. Beautiful skating... I can't believe the speed. People do not skate like this anymore!

I so agree with you! They blend the unison, the lines and speed of G & G. They also work on complementary positions like M & D did.

And look at Anton! I find that in the best pairs we need to look at the male partner, they are usually amazing partners! I watched several routines from them just my looking at Anton and you rarely see such power, grace and flexibility in a males skater! A bit reminissence of Grinkov.

This is among the best FS programs I have ever seen, in terms of musical selection, originality, choreography, etc.--combined w/ the flawless lines and speed.

Totminina/Marinin, toward the end of their career, came close to this--but B/Z has the warmth, depth, and genuine "feeling" T/M never displayed...

I think this was probably my least favorite B&S LP--I just couldn't get into the music, though it's beautifully performed. It just isn't my thing. I love the ending pose, though, where she stands on his skates! It's so romantic! :)

Why is their opening jump is ALWAYS a side-by-side triple toe loop? Always!

Well, most skaters open with their hardest element, and for the top pairs at this time it was the triple toe loop. Most pairs competing at this level then did the same.
