To many ppl blame wcw's demise on russo and other bookers, but truth be told the AOL merger wanted nothing to do with WCW. Not to say that the ratings weren't down, but wcw didnt have a chance.
@CptLew002 But if business was booming like it was in 97-98, prolly would be a different story. Considering they were losing tens of millions by 2000-2001, no respectable company would allow that to continue

AOL Time Warner didn't want that. Soon as Ted Turner was out as the decision maker that was the beginning of the end.
