the soloist needs to be no disernable, either the orch needs to quiet up or the soloist needs to play out more (probably the latter). this a showpeice for the solo cello; it sounds like an orchestral suite -.-

I like this tempo, I've heard faster and it just feels frantic, stresses me out a bit. Well done to them for being able to do it so fast but really!!

@zombieravens To be fair, it IS called dance of the elves, and was always meant as a showpiece to be played very fast, so i think that you should play it fast if you can =] I also think if it's played too slowly we lose the feeling of lightness and mischief!

I love this tempo. I can finally listen music phrases;) i've just listened this piece playing by Rostropovich. maybe he is a genius but for me he played it to fast .
