Most characters' recoveries (in fact, all of the nontethers except for Lucario) can injure you if you time it wrong, and even spike you in some instances (falco, fox, wolf, captain falcon, ganondorf to name a few). That's also assuming you can downfall fast enough to grab the edge before your opponent without falling to your doom.

If you can edgehog without risking death, then you're a good player when it comes to edgehogging. In which case, embrace it!

I dont see all of his strengths, because all of them are topped by other characters, he has good recovery, but Pit's is better, he has speed, but sonic is faster, his moves are unprdictable, but so are many characters. meta knight is just what I call a "Hype Character".

Pit's recovery is not better. Did you know that Pit can't use his up b after getting hit? Kinda thwarts recovery

Sonic's moves are impractical and it is very hard to KO with him. His smashes are either too weak or too slow to practically KO. Meta Knight, on the other hand has a ridiculously strong and fast downsmash.

Basically, all of Meta Knight's moves have strength where others whose moves are JUST AS FAST lack it. And speed where other characters whose attacks are JUST AS STRONG lack it.

One reason and one reason only of why Ganondorf is The Badass of Brawl...

He pretty much is the only character that you can see you're getting your ass kicked hard. He grabs you by the face and blasts Shadow directly in your face, he grabs your face and slams your freaking head into the ground, the pose he has after finishing the a down is just epic, his taunts are epic, and no matter who he fights, he just throws them around like a rag doll.
