  • how much is that foreal

  • thanks a lot, that helped me in knowing ant fisheye option:D

  • "If you are fairly sober this is the best lens for taking out...." Funny, Dom.

  • Thanks for this video!

I just got the same lens but I'm a bit disappointed as the results are not sharp at all. Im using the infinite focal lenght, a quite high shutter speed and doing my best to keep the camera still.

How about yours? How do you manage?

    Cheers!!!

  • @tincset autofocus for me works just fine. nice and sharp and great for landscapes.

  • @tincset use aperture priority to whack it wide open?

  • i hate when people say nikon like that

  • love your HDR shots they look amazing. Now i want one of these lenses

  • I wanna party with you!

  • Thanks dude! Great pics!

  • as good as a screw on

  • Thanks for the tips. What did you pay for this bad boy? I'm interested in picking something like this up...

  • @Bradhunter33 its like £440.

  • Hey Dom, I really like your fish eye shots! Do you know any website where I could probably get the best deal on one like that? Is it compatible with the d3000?

  • Hi,

For the party shots, have you used the internal flash or an external?

Because I'm some kind of interested in such a lens an i also want to take it to some partys and so on, but I don't really want to have a huge external flash attachted...

  • Yes I did mean slower fps thanks for pointing it out

  • fuji s5pro is basically a d200/300 but it has a better dynamic range but slower shutter

  • @owendart slower shutter? do you not mean slower FPS

  • whaow whaow ... nikon lenses works with a fuji dslr?

  • how much was your fisheye

  • lol...Ants eye view :D

  • Thanks Dombower for the video. Could you please tell me the difference in the images between the 12-24 f/4 nikon taken at 12 and this fisheye. (assuming that pictures are taken with both lenses at aperture 4)

  • the fish eye would have a fishe eye effect the 12-24 does not.

  • highlight of the video. GLENTRESS. nice drop. good stuff. just a pity it doens'nt show how much the drop actually falls away.

  • Oh ok ok thank you. Just undecided on the lens! thanks

  • I noticed abit of vignetting in these images? What do you think?

  • nope i dont notice any. if there is i may have put that in myself in post

  • It's compatible with Nikon D5000?

  • not sure. it has no internal motor if the d5000 has not motor then you will have to manual focus it.

  • Ok, thanks! (:

  • hey dom! excellent video, as usual, very informative and excellent pictures, especially the HDR ones!

  • Just subscribed! All videos are fecking fantastic, very informative, especially the one about the sigma 105mm macro, so thanks for that.

Its worms eye by the way

  • worms, ants, turds. all the same. small and on the ground. but i will use worm from now on, thanks for the tip

  • the cabman is Jamie oliver's father =D^^

  • no way omg!!!

  • hey i got a fisheye lens adapter is it the same that an actual lens?

  • close to it. cant imagin the resolution being all that great. but should get a good enough effect

  • HA HA HA HA HA!!! >:D Got my first fishe eye lens....:( Sadly...it's a door peephole.... Actually works!:)

  • best video yet

  • and learnt alot of new ideas in the realm of photography.

  • glad to hear that! feel free to show some of your photos and ill link them up.

  • thanks Dom, but I sadly don't own a copy of a Nikon 10.5 fish eye as of yet and as I only recently joined Nikon (being a former Canon user) and currently own a Nikon D40 and only using the kit lens for now. Besides the Nikon 10.5 wouldn't work properly on a D40 due to the lack of a built in motor, but the Nikon 10.5 fish eye is something I'll most certainly consider in the future.

  • I love this lens...I want one:(

    Great job Dom!

  • true, but a proper fish eye is a very special and unique type of lens. with the adapter you could test out the style for a small cost. I wouldn't spend £400+ on a lens that I'm not experienced in. its the same with macro lenses, and macro extension tubes. Cheap compromise but a good way to experiment without committing to a full price tag.

  • you seem to be using your fuji a lot recently, or at least in the videos! what's your view on wideangle/fisheye adapters. cheap compromise?

  • The glass isn't going to be near as good on those - the Nikon 10.5mm fisheye is very sharp. Also most of those won't give you a full 180 degree view like a true fisheye will.
