The Madrid Hotel was framed with steel on the outside and reinforced concrete in the core. The outer section (the part that was framed with steel like the WTC) collapsed quickly. Steel loses most of its structural integrity at half its melting point. Jet fuel is more than capable of burning at such temperatures.
