It's really easy, he's only using the two bottom strings (the thickest ones...), the lowest is E, and the one above it is A, after that you should be able to do it if you watch his fingers and try it on your own guitar. Good luck :)

I usually just slide my finger down to the second fret then walk it back to the first and then down lol :p You will find that for some its easier :) Just givin ya a tip :)

I play it in standard and it works for me. I have a tablature book of the last Nirvana album, and its in DADGAD, and the chorus is a little complex. But I watched them Live and learned the chorus, and Kurt played it different than transcribed in the book. I play the way Kurt does live, and when I tune in DADGAD, it does NOT sound right. So, Kurt may have done it in DADGAD on the recording, but live he keeps it in standard and plays differently.

And it sounds right. He played it in the studio DADGAD. Live, he plays it in standard but plays the song differently from what he did on the studio. Its not complicated. He played and tuned differently between live and studio. I dont get why everyone's questioning what Im saying. I know what Im saying.
