@DanesGames You see his skills already in the video, he's one of the greatest. But I'm sure you're talking about fighting skills, aren't you? Then I can't help you, we should move to a krav maga or something else video. I will give you this advice though: watch other aikido videos but focus on the one who "falls" (uke): there lies the essence of aikido. You won't find anything like this in any other "Martial" art, guaranteed.
@acquiesce100 mmm If you regard this as bullshit being an aikidoist can mean two things: a)You haven't fully understood what you're doing; b)You practice Iwama ryu. Moreover, a and b are often deeply connected.
@acquiesce100 It seems I got the point. I'm fully awaken thanks. I will then turn possibilty a) into an advice for you: understand what you are practicing everyday in your dojo.
Sooooooo I don't get it.. you're supposed to run up with your hand at waist height and let this old guy throw you??? Cus if I was fighting, that's not what I'd do. I'd probably punch him.
@clhoffman1 what you see here is a teacher explaining some of the principles of aikido. Aikido is a martial art, and as with any art, it is important to first practise the forms before going full throttle. As you rightly say, this is not what one would do in a fight. But this is not a fight, this is training. On a side note, I would love to see you try to punch this man. :-)

O-Sensei thường xuyên nói chuyện về đào tạo lực hấp dẫn. Lực hấp dẫn đào tạo là để học cách lãnh đạo và đi cùng với chuyển động của đối tác
