You just made my life a lot easier. I am a developer and I tend to have a LOT of programs etc open. This really help me organising :) Thanks!

I only wonder why this isn't a more widely known program because it works really well, it is low demanding, and fully customizable

To be honest, I don't use it anymore. I seem to be content with the new Windows 7 task bar. Seems to work well for me with the grouping and all. If I were to always have a ton of applications open, then Switcher for Windows 7 would work great.

@PCAddictsLive yeah when having just a few applications open the normal windows taskbar is fine these days, because of the grouping, but I tend to have so much programs and folders open that I run agaisnt my 8gig ram limit :( this app helps giving a better overview in that case. also when just pressing the first letter of the app I want it activates search, this filtering helps when I have like 20 folders open.

I also like the costumize part, that is something that windows is lacking a bit imo.

there is a similar program that resembles spaces for OS X also. think its made By the same people.

I like macintosh because it has this built in and doesn't require as much power as others.
