I'm not really a Madonna fan,and I hate to admit when I like a song from her,but this one is absolutely incredible.I love the theme of the lyrics. Somber and melancholy yet somehow empowering at the same time.The synths on this track are great.The production is very clean and pure.It sounds kind of futuristic (whatever that actually means) The visuals work very well with the song as well.They're beautifully done.Thanks for posting.

In the cover credits she thanks Abba, but I do not know which song she used for reference, unless it was "Ring, Ring". I also saw her interviewed on MTV and she said she was studying disco. She makes the ordinary things you never thought of nice. I the concert DVD and it is GREAT!

it's open to interpretation. it could mean love between people of different religions. it could be love between people of the same sex. it could mean love between siblings or relatives. it could be just a relationship that wouldn't be allowed (like in Romeo and Juliet, they had forbidden love.) you could probably even say that edward and bella in twilight have forbidden love.
