one of then hardest things when you play live is to recover from a mistake and he did it like the master he is. He is a great player, and non one should judge on mistakes, don't ever think in the 1 second of mistake, better look at the 5 minutes of delightful music. That´s what I think.
o Russell deu uma engasgada no final, mas contornou a situação e terminou a fantasia hungara com maestria. Não tem o que falar dele. Ele é demais! viva ao Russell!
playing a gilbert guitar too! Man this is early russell. Very nice. Yeah if you guys get a chance i'd definitely go hear/see him. I saw him several times but one of those was the most transcendent concert i've ever been to. I got totally lost in the music. But then again it's all subjective because I know guys who were at the same show and didn't feel the same way....
Wow this early David Russell. Anybody know when this was recorded. I believe that he is one the best performers around. I say that but I have not yet had the oppurtunity to hear him live but I turn to his recordings for all the advice I need. Flawless and he is also a philantropist which is very awesome. Check out his website.
Thank you DrMikero for posting this. I have the GFA recording and this is one of my favourites. Sublime skill and musicianship from a true master. I saw him play in 1988 and this was not on the program. Never thought I'd get a chance to see it live. Long live YouTube. (Even if he did screw up the ending a bit....lol).
That's so weird that his name is David Russell and plays guitar. That's my name and I play guitar too!!! Well, I'm just a kid...

everyone makes mistakes, and that's cool, we're humans. You should look for something beyond the superficial. 5 STARS for David!
