Nice video. I watched a security guard at a rest area outside of Orlando,FL.on Interstate 4 feeding squirrel. The animal ran up his leg on his trousers and grabbed a peanut.
We used to feed the racoons and chipmunks up in cottage country in Ontario...generally doesn't take them a long time to gain their trust, especially if you have food to offer.
Buddi's been visiting the backyard for three years now. I had originally called her 'Buddy,' thinking she was male, but when she turned up with her first litter I realized I'd better changed the spelling to 'Buddi.' I've always been very patient with animals, and they seem to warm up to me rather quickly. And Buddi was always a bit brazen, so it didn't take too long for her to get used to me, i.e., the giant who always has almonds.
oh, i'm sorry! let me change that. omg, she's so cute! <3 and wow, i've tried that too, but they're still always scared of me. oh well, at least they've got you,lol
Love it, but, since you don't know where the chipmunk has been, it may be covered with roundworm eggs...just be a little cautious.
