I first heard of Wayman in the UK around 1998 when they played his tracks on "jazzf.m'. The track they played, which featured George Benson on it, was tremendous. Deeply sorry to hear about his passing. May i extend my condolences to his family and also to you on the loss of your child.

RIP! It is a sad day. I got hip to Wayman Tisdale back in '98 with the "In The Zone" album and I'm still wearin' that out (especially, "Don't Take Your Love Away") to this very day. A friend of mine just lost his friend in a motorcycle accident--a guy who was always stressing safety and being careful... but the poor young guy's time was up--by an unlucky accident.

SO... you never know how much time you have. Only thing to decide is what to do with the time we're given.

I met Wayman 12 years ago living in Tulsa. He was well respected as a musician, athelete, and a friend to many.

I used to work security when wayman was a star player for the Kings. Wayman was a true gentleman who wlways smiled and treated people with respect. he and his wife were pillars in the community and even helped a guy larry start his barbecue business. He was a great guy, rip wayman

I thought after the news of his leg being amputated, that he was perhaps on his way to recovery, but as the case with Robert Urich and Walter Payton, it wasn't meant to be. Belated condolences in relation to your son, too, I lost one of my brothers to cancer in June of 2007.
