Oh yeah I forgot when a cars being rinsed water is sprayed on to rinse the cloth and take off soap. Its done to help rinse the car and so car washes can keep the title Soft Cloth. also touchless doesnt clean good. all it does soap sits on car spayed with water dried. soft cloth:Soak,Soap,Wax(wash pending) and also it rubs in the soap and polishes your car
Come on the new soft touch washes are super safe. They are made from closed cell foam so they don't absorb water or soap. It gives a better look on the finish of the car. I have also heard touch-free washes are not as safe to
The only thing I can think of about unsafe touch-free washes are extreme water pressure, or possibly an abrasive soap/polish. Neither, I've encountered.......yet.
Looks like a typical Laserwash 4000 system, although this one has more light-up signage than the one near me. Mine also has stationary dryers at the doors.
Ok, george, do you like the Laserwash 4000 better, or the Laserwash 360?

I'm impartial.

I don't trust the sound it makes when the wash ARM moves across the front and back of the car

The bearings on the guide wheels are wearing out some. That will need attention.

Can't say I've noticed a real difference on some of the touch-free models. Some others? Yeah, there's a difference.

Can you try to make one with a Laserwash 360?
Thedddhomevideos 5 months ago
@Thedddhomevideos
There's not many car washes where I am, so I can only do what is near me. :(

Thanks for responding quickly! Really on top of your game

Soft Cloth wont scratch. Its how they design it to be
forsmers1 5 months ago
@forsmers1
That's the claim.
After enough pass-throughs, they can scratch paint, as one soft-cloth wash I used to go to would do to every car I, or people I know, used.
It's also on the maintenance, too. They leave the soap in the cloth, the cloth isn't so soft anymore.

@georgef551 Go to delta sonic that hasnt scratched my car at all. nor damged it. you also can get a 5$ wax.
Free hand dry to.

I'll stick with the touch-free models. My luck with cars, and aything that's not suposed to happen, usually does. :)

I agree about the abrasive soap and polish ,but the water pressure is better when it is high.

@TheCarwash97
There are some very high touch-free pressure washes around here.
House of Wax (Orange, MA) is definately one.
georgef551 1 month ago
Yeah the laser wash in athol has to be one too.

The doors close, and the overall look with fog changes the ambiance.

Why not do a soft touch car wash?
araflygare 10 months ago
@araflygare
I might someday. Not sure. Some seem to scratch the paint.
georgef551 10 months ago
Was this the same car wash you filmed back in 2009?
araflygare 1 year ago
@araflygare
Yes, but this time, in the Winter. It behaves a little different.

They need to replace the information display module (or whatever they call it).
douro20 1 year ago
There's no need for a purge between the first and second presoak. I wonder why it did that...

@douro20
Probably was programmed for something else initially.

I've seen that one. Those driers probably work.
These need help. They used to leave the car bone dry. Now they just push the water around.
