You can wrap your thumb around the neck... you need to hit the bass notes on the chorus. Otherwise this is pretty much perfection. Great job.

You should try a dropped-d, could get bass notes easily in the chorus! A verry smooth cover otherwise! reminds me that I still need to practice some parts even if it goes well already! practice practice practice..

@etusax I have thought of it, but the dropped d greatly reduces the response I get from the string (on account of lower tension), and, it just doesn't "feel right" when the string feels so loose. I agree that no matter the configuration, the bass notes should have been louder. It could also be because of the crappy mike I used, but could also be because I wasn't focusing on the bass notes.. Hey! Beautiful, melodic song & that Guild sounds superb. I'm a guitar freak; is the guild amplified or straight? Is it the rosewood or mahogany? My guess is rosewood.

I believe its Mahogany. This is how it sounds on the pick-up. It does sound sweeter through the pickup than live. For the price, its a really good guitar.

I am playing Ulli bögershausen's version of the same song...I don't have the tabs.

Why didn't you give credit to ulli bögershausen for this song. This is his version just more simple. the only thing that is different is you put a capo on the first fret, and your leaving out bass notes since your not in drop D tuning. Other than that its a good job, but you said your playing by ear when this is ulli bögershausen's.
