Neither the Left (Unions, etc.) or the Right (Corporations, etc.) are in support of our Freedom and Liberty. Hidden agendas...
I doubt that its the intention of the lyrics (this is a Union song remake from the 30's I think) but I see the sides as Liberty vs. Tyranny. Turning both Left or Right on the road to freedom will only lead to Tyranny.
Sorry about you Wisconsinites. But both sides have it wrong
@13euskaldun - But even if this is true, wouldn't you want to fight against the side that is the strongest? If both are foes to liberty then you must. But go after the corporations first because their power is enthroned in U.S. law.
@kreuztraeger I was a teamster for 6 years. The men and women in Unions are for the most part good people. But the unions themselves are a disease. They don't give a hoot about 'Workers'. They only care about their particular union and that union's seniority structure.
I am for workers (all workers no matter the color of the collar). I am not for unions.
Attacking all unions because your was populated with lazy chumps who passively let themselves get fucked is a big leap.
The unions of old preached total solidarity. This is not necessary as long as strikes are simultaneous. Deprived of money, government, business, and even your shitty union leadership either cease to exist or capitulate to your demands.
If you weren't willing to clean up your own house so to speak, then don't fucking have one.

Its the greedy unions that have crippled many great american companies...... having to pay benefits to all their retired employees has crippled most large corporations
@grainpsilo Who the hell do you think did the sweating, and working for those companies? The fat executives? I don't think so. Labor and its fruits belong to those who labor.
@grainpsilo Heaven forbid people actually have to be PAID for their work! Heaven forbid, those people who sweated, toiled, and laboured for 50+ years of their lives get paid a paltry sum every month so they can continue to eat. I can tell what side YOUR on. Go play in traffic.
@grainpsilo and it's the greedy corporations who take away workers benefits and force them to work longer hours for less money. For many people in this country the American Dream is dead and buried because of corporate greed and government complacency. But anyways the company has to make sure the execs get bonuses right? After all we wouldn't want them to miss their ski trip to Aspen or be unable to buy their new Lexus this year.
@grainpsilo It's the working poor that now have to pay for the bank bail outs of Freedie Mac, Fannie Mae, Bear Stearnes ...Plus Chrysler filing Chapter 11 and recieving 6.6 BILLION!..that socialism for the Rich. privatise the gains and Socialize the Debts. handing over same onto the backs of blue collar workers .How many pension funds were either under funded for years or raided by the Trustees on behalf of the Companies as a means of creative accounting leaving Workers without pensions.

Why would you possibly want to support socialism/Communism? They enslaved and killed hundreds of millions of people throughout the 20th century. It's not the movement of the workers. It's the movement of international bankers.
For real worker's movements look to events like the Eureka stockade, Andrew Jackson's presidency, and some of Australia's early Labour politicians such as Chiefly and Curtin.
They did far more for workers without the stupidity and evil of communism.
Those regimes you're calling socialism/Communism were nearly all state capitalist. Marx said if you want an example of communism, see the Paris Commune. That was somewhat different to the USSR! Spain 1936 is another good example of communism. Not many millions enslaved and killed in those circumstances - apart from the workers who died defending it from the filth like General Franco, that is.

First of all I have never seen so many grammatical errors in one sentence. If your intention is to enlighten someone you should first appear to be literate. It is obvious you are a very uneducated person. Here are some questions
Do you know the definition of a communist?
Do you know the origins of the punk movement?
Do you realize Nikosavgkke comes from a country that was recently under a U.S. backed military dictatorship?
Do you think you would be able to find this country on a map?
