  • When did you start flying ?

  • How was the temperature?

  • I presume this is Arizona

  • @flyzapva Yes, Goodyear - Arizona

  • Pretty keen on the zoom function aren't we...?

  • @TheOneNo20 Yes, that was my early days of filming!

  • @AP264 lol

  • :O

You use Piper Warriors at Oxford? :-)

I've decided then. Oxford it is. :D

  • @scotplane have you flown yet my friend? I've been flying a Pa28 140...I love her to death, she's the most important thing in my life! Damn....Flying is the best thing ever, boy when you get her off the ground, it's like heaven...

  • @MercedesKawasaki Not yet , I've got to get through high school etc. but I'm determined to own any of the PA28 series, weather or not I get a Commercial Pilots License :D

  • Ahhh, America, the land where private pilots don't have to think.

  • i remeber when she says your number 5 clear to land :P

  • 2:24 leeeeeft Ruddeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!

btw ur atc lady speaks hot. this is my first time to enjoy while listening atis lol......

  • I'm 31 and live in Australia. Anyone can learn to fly at any age but you cant fly solo and hold a private licence until you are 16 as i remember. @ $230 an hour it's not cheap but well worth it. They say most should have their PPL at around the 20 hour mark so there's at least $4600.

All I did was contact my school and organised an introductory flight and I was hooked from there. I purchased 2 text books for about $110 and study inbetween each lesson which I book every 2 weeks.

  • I'm 13 now, and I want to take flying lessons. I know that you can take lessons at the age of 15, is there anything I can do to prep in the meantime?

  • First aircraft I ever flew was the Piper Warrior :)

  • Hi there

Im an aspiring pilot from NZ and your videos have been an AMAZING help. The urge to fly is becoming overwhelming and after having done my first trial flight a few weeks ago its become an obsession!

Im pretty much to put up with and do whatever it takes to get into it as a career, but due to special circumstances am unable to join the RNZAF. thus, we have the issue of money. How much did it cost you, and are you aware of any cheaper ways of getting into it in this part of the world?

  • What are the education requirements of becoming a airline pilot?

  • @morelia713 watch: how to become pilot documentary hd video.

  • @morelia713

Most, I mean 90% of all airlines require a 4YR Bachelors Degree in any major you want, and all of your pilots licenses. Pilots licenses are Private, Instrument, Commercial, Multi Engine, and ATP. It takes about 2 Years if you go to a really good academy and learn Part 141 standard learning with time requirements, but if you learn through Part 61 then you learn as much time as you, need could be less than 2 Years if you learn faster than standard requirements

  • @morelia713

So basically you need to go to college first for 4 years then flight school for 2 years, so if your coming right out of high school you wont be flying pro until minimum age 24, or you can go to flight school first right after high school then college then you can start flying earlier and while your in college you can work as a flight instructor while attending school

  • zoom up, zoom down, zoom, zoom, zoom up, zoom down, zoom zoom oohhh! fuck!

  • @kd2380 My thoughts, exactly! Come on and zoom, zoom, zoom-a-zoom.

  • is this the ab-initio course

  • ou have to have perfect vision to be a pilot fot a airline, please answer, im really worried?:(

  • no, but it has to be able to be corrected to perfect.

  • nice!

  • looks like it was a good video but I missed most of it. The camera work gave me a seizure in the first min or so. Shame... I love these planes.

  • the zoom works!

  • great vid love it

  • Would it be possible to become a pilot if i wear a spectacle? If not would it still be possible if i go for eye sight correction using laser?

  • Have you tried buying contact lenses? They are really easy to put in and out.

  • you can wear contact lenses? Are they not afraid that you might drop your contact lenses while flying or when you hit some turbulence?

  • Contact lenses shouldn't drop out that easy, if that could happen I would always keep a pair of glasses with me.

  • Laser correction is possible and legal for becomming a airline pilot. I am going to have it done in 1 month because I start at my flight academy in April. Good luck!

  • If you wear glasses or contact lenses you have to carry a second pair of glasses with you when you go flying - its the law in the UK

  • True, but if you have a too big correction needed then it is always a possibility to do laser surgery. I am doing it januari 28th because i have a too big astigmatism dpt.

btw, the law in the UK is nothing dirrerent then the Law elswere in Europe. It is JAR.

  • I am studying my baccalaureate in Spain. When I go looking for a job, will that fact help me or set me back. I will have the equivalent of an A* in English language, but maybe a C or a D in spanish literature. Will that matter or will speaking spanish give me much of an advantage when i look for a job?

  • how long does flight school last to get your students pilots license? In a single engine.

  • To get your PPL which is in a single prop engine it can take up to 42+ Hours To get your licence but if you want to move onto become a airline pilot you will have to get 1500 Hours plus pass your CPL plus night ratings and so on.. But it will be worth it!

  • Yea cool, im learning PPL at the moment and there making me do everything by the book old school haha, maps, compass but we use the radio clock as a stopwatch. I cant wait to see of i make it into the Airline Jobs your really lucky i was thinking of going to oxford but i can get it cheaper at my local Aero Club. My next soor neirhbour has just got back from mexico he flys for Thomas Cook.

  • We never really used GPS until the IFR phase back in the UK. This was all good old fashion map/compass/stopwatch and looking out the window!!

  • @AP264 Same goes for denmark ! :)

  • Lucky you have GPS haha i have to do everything by map and compass and using my head. :P Heard you were flying for BA now glad to hear good luck with it.
