OMG! That was freaky! You open your eyes, he says, Da-Da! But when you close your eys, he says, Ba-Ba, and when you turn off all the audio togather, you can clearly see that he's saying Ga-Ga! OMG! That is freakin amazing! I'll open and close my eyes throughout, and it's like, "Wait, is this the same video? Did someone switch a video within one millionth of a second or something?" HOLY SHIT!!!

It's a study on how your brain overrules what your ears hear with what your eyes see. When you see a mouth, tongue lips and all, making a "da" sound, you expect to hear "da", and in this case because of the similarity in the sounds, your brain says, "HE MUST BE SAYING "DA DA" SO THAT'S WHAT YOU HEAR." When really he's saying "ba ba".

What am I saying? Play the clip several times, alternating between looking at the talking head while listening, and listening with your eyes shut. Most adults (98%) think they are hearing "DA" - a so called "fused respons" - where the "D" is a result of an audio-visual illusion. In reality you are hearing the sound "BA", while you are seing the lip movements "GA".
