This is awesome. The guys are good enough to get the sitar part seguaing into devils food, you don't need a real sitar, just a careful setting of a delay pedal.
that's an amazing job u've done, i just started learning this song coz it just deserves to be learnt, steve always makes wonderful pieces...one thing i missed in this video is the sitar part, that's so nice to play, you should hv played that part too...btw that's great, if u can cover a so difficult vai piece then u're great musicians, everyone of you! peace, Mick
Its an awkward arrangement to reproduce authentically because of all the overlays, probably why vai doesnt play it much live, but you went all out and proper to try and do it so fair going!
I posted a response there of my friend and I practicing it a while ago and just sped it up for a laugh cuz it was crap as it was.

The absolute first part isnt part of the suite but segues into it at 2:12. that part is called Bangkok. Right there, the first part is called Bull Whip. That part ends at 2:50 and its supposed to seque into the second part called puaa road which is an oriental sounding piece but they didnt do that part. The third part of the suite called Angel Food they start at 3:02 and that ends right at 5:54. Then that goes right into taurus bulba for the rest of the song.
Why's that guy using a Universe? no need for that extra string, but still incredibly sick.
