Burying Da Speedo On My '87 Suburban 4x4 6.2

I'm looking to put a 6.2 Diesel in a passenger car, I've considered a Camaro, Caprice, Olds 88, 98, Various Chevy pickups, and most other big cars. Does anyone have any suggestions?

sad thing is ur speedometer maxes at 85...on a mercedes counter 85 is just past half...i've had my diesel mercedes doing 120 easy..just got scared when i went over a bridge and dropped about a foot doing 120.

I actually got my 89 3/4ton 454 to bury its speedo awhile back racing another suburban , but I wont talk about what happend to that full fuel tank real quick :D

A friend has an '84 he bought new. 24,000 miles, 454, 2wd, I forgot to make a vid in Jax Florida... I'll see it again soon... Headers, no winters... He ordered it from the factory...

i take it that its a cable driven spedo and the bushings are worn on the magnet wheel and its in a bind and shaking and making it inaccurate

u must have a bad tranny in that or oil needs to be changed

It's sold, and I included a rebuilt 700R4 tranny, 6.2-TH400 and 4.10 gears don't mix...

6.2's redline at 3500??? My Banks 6.2 from Texas has a Tach... Kewl...

ive seen them push it to 6500rpm on a 6.5 stock and one rebuilt aftermarket they redlined it at 10,000 ill try to find a vid on it

hitting 85 or higher in a th400? ha. my 700r4 wouldnt engage until almost 60...

My '83 1/2 ton 305 also doesn't hit 4th until 60, and then locks up. But no power, so then it unlocks...

When you say lock, you mean a lock up torque converter? I didn't know these trucks had lock up torque converters
