I don't care how old these guys get, they were and still are the greatest rock band ever. When Ian Gillian (lead singer), Ritchie Blackmore (lead guitarist) and Jon Lord (organist) found each other, they were a match made in heaven. Those guys are awesome together. They were definately ahead of their time.  I came up with and live for the 70s rock bands.

Notice a definite lack of frigging pedals, kids! Yep I'm your gramps buddy the bassist guitar player from the 60's!!!! We had a Fuzztone and then the wah wah came out by Thomas Organ. That was it. I had a Mustang bass and a P-bass with an old Alamo tube amp with 2 12s. Guitarist played an Esquire through a Fender Super with 4 10s. We had 2 Altec Lansing "Voice of the Theatre" A-7 boxes with a bass reflex driven by an 18" and big horn on top that blew diaphragms like girls do Steven Tyler.

Glover and Gillan are MK II and Morse is guitar player number 3 (if you are counting Satriani as an ex-member, Morse should be number 4)
