I agree. I bought my Wii near launch, and the first few months, it was awesome. Now it has become useless compared to my ps3 and 360.

It's just fanboyism that rooted strait Sega vs Nintendo. My question is why bother fighting? You'll actually have a lot more fun if you play all the consoles and games. That's a TON of variety and support for all three companies including those that made the games that you play.

The wii is for kids and is great entertainment for me and my family. I own a wii and a ps3, I use the wii for fitness and the ps3 for gaming and entertainment. The wii, is great just the graphics could be better, due to my 42 inch HD ready tv. We use the Ps3 to play games like BO, MW2, Medal of honur, GTAIV etc... So I like the wii, and it helps with fitness :D
My Wii has been collecting a lot of dust ever since I bought my PS3. That is mainly because I probably got attached to my PS2 and couldn't get rid of the Sony touch that I caught and I am also older now and don't care for the Nintendo franchises. See, that's why they have something for everyone in the market!

The Wii is definitely a casual gamer system, yet it's the only system out there that has modern iterations of Mario and Zelda games. It's hard to find anything like that for the Playstation 3 or the Xbox 360 when most of their focus is on realistic FPS games and Grand Theft Auto clones.
In my opinion, while the Wii doesn't have as good graphics, it still is a good system, and arguably has the strongest and best first-party support of any system.
I have a Wii and an Xbox 360. I like the Wii, but I'm a huge Call of Duty fan ever since the first one came out and the Wii just doesn't cut it, but I do see your point about the Wii is great for parties.
I also should mention that I watched and responded to this video on my Wii while my wife is on the computer. Now it plays Netflix which was just a surprise bonus 9 months after I bought my Wii.
The Wii is great. I love everything from Resort, to Boom Blox, to Metroid, to Call of Duty MWR, to Excite Truck. I can't get that kind of variety with PS3 or 360. Plus Wii has all the franchises I love. The graphics are secondary. I love FPS games on the Wii. I will get a PS3 as soon as Sony removes their head from their ass and offers a great library like the PS2 had. It's about games for me, not resolution.
The problem with the wii is it's online is pretty terrible, and motion controls don't lend themselves very well to competative games. It's also pretty far behind in terms of power. It's graphics are very outdated compared to the other two systems. The wii is awesome if you have 3 other buddies sitting on the couch next to you, but nowadays, that's not very common. It's much easier to just jump on xbl, start up a party, and play some rounds of search and destroy.

I support the love for the wii, a lot of people hate the wii and I can see why, but the fact is that probably people judge first instead of trying to make the most out of your console, the virtual console is a bliss for gamers because they let you relive the past (and new gamers should give it a chance) and look for the good games for the wii (and there are more good games than just first party developed games) like No More Heroes and House of the Dead Overkill.

Actually i have a Wii, PS3 and a DS.... and if i was ranking them just by play time, i would say that The Wii is my Main Console, the DS comes and second, and PS3 is the last one.
Not that i love more my Wii than my PS3, but I just find more fun in playing the Wii than the PS3, i think it's because Nintendo goal when making a console and a game it's Fun, while the others almost always aims in technical showcase.

I used to hate Nintendo bcoz of their kiddy games... But I'd just under estimated them.., For me the Wii can reach all types of gamer. I don't think that the Wii is just for party games like the NSMBW. Games like Metroid Prime trilogy and the upcoming the other M are examples for Hardcore gamers. If you just look right now, Sony and Microsoft is now following Nintendo's footsteps (Project Natal/Sony's motion sensing and the sixaxis) go figure...
Well, for people like me who want fun, deep gameplay experiences without all the gore / FPS / WRPGs and whatnot, systems like the 360 and PS3 don't really fit my niche very well. The Wii does amazingly.
But then, with the Wii as my main game console, it seems like no developers take it seriously except for Nintendo themselves. Aside from some who totally missed the playing audience with their sub-par releases,and then wondered why their games don't sell that well.

I highly respect Nintendo and how the Wii is a game console, and a game console only. Some companies like Sony and Microsoft ruined the point of gaming systems with DVD/Blu-Ray players. The Natal Is something you join with your xbox 360
There are action games available for it and they are at a highly new level for eg for shooting you postion ur hands as shown on the screen (basically the normal way of holding it) and shot my pressing down with your index.cost is starting at 350-400$. The wii currently I think is the best console but after the launch of the Xbox Project Natal (please please check the trailer out on youtube ) the Wii will be pushed back...
The Project Natal has a full body motion censor from head to toe, you dont need to hold anything , you can actually talk to your game play charectors etc

I'm a hardcore gamer and I just wanted to say that the Wii isn't a bad console. It has a lot of fun games such as Zelda Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy and me being a hardcore gamer I really enjoyed playing The Conduit.

PC = Godly. It's fully customizable, you can play games from the last century on it (through emulators) and most PS3 and 360 games are also on it. PC for life :)

He's probably one of the first people to point out that the Wii is very underrated. The Wii has the most advanced technology of all of the current consoles. It also sells more than the Xbox 360 and PS3 but it is still not getting as much attention as it should.
@neimenkordomt: I find it hard to justify whether one console is better than the other. The Wii is unique and has some great titles (Zelda/Mario Kart/NSMB/Metroid etc) and is great fun with family or friends, or of course by yourself. The PS3 is more for anyone who really enjoys shooting games as the Wii seriously lacks games with much violence. Their still both very good consoles though.
Wii is my secondary console. I play my 360 alot and once i get tired of all the shooting games I go to Wii. And I play things like zelda and New super mario bros. Its good if you just want to have a fun time.

I have the PS3 and the Wii. I mainly play with my PS3 but it's mostly because I spent almost 2 years playing the Wii before buying a PS3. Honestly, there are about 3 or 4 games for the Wii That are a hell lot better than most PS3 or 360 games. I love the Wii but overall I still enjoy my PS3 more.

This is coming from someone who owns a PS3, an Xbox360, and a Wii. In my opinion, I think tbe Wii sucks huge hairy balls compared to the 360 or PS3. Don't take it the wrong way, I like the wii. When I wanna just chill out and play some simple easy games nothing fancy. But overall, I think the Wii sucks compared to the PS3 or the 360. I am not trying to offend anybody, I'm only expressing my personal opinion.
One of the main reasons the wii gets so much hate is because it has so, so, so many crappy games..they are a dime a dozen...but if you just research a little you can find a TON of awesomely fun games...and I agree, besides Rockband, there really is no better party system...nothing like brawling it out with a bunch of friends.

When my wife and I went on vacation, she also asked me to bring the Wii. Can you believe that?! I've owned all three consoles and so far I like the Wii, then XBox 360, then PS3. Despite the lack of HD, the Wii really seems "Next Gen".
ive had my wii for over a year and ive played it like 4 times.its only good for downloading classics but i have a nes and snes and n64 so its a complete waste of time for me.
The wii is mostly for people that have friends or a girlfriend/boyfriend.
Hardcore gamers usually aren't social people so I recommend Xbox360 for people without friends and PS3 for people who can't even handle playing on the internet.
Then again... I play 360 for MW 2 but I find myself playing wii more often since I usually play games when friends are over.

Actually i have a Wii, PS3 and a DS.... and if i was ranking them just by play time, i would say that The Wii is my Main Console, the DS comes and second, and PS3 is the last one.
Not that i love more my Wii than my PS3, but I just find more fun in playing the Wii than the PS3, i think it's because Nintendo goal when making a console and a game it's Fun, while the others almost always aims in technical showcase.

I used to hate Nintendo bcoz of their kiddy games... But I'd just under estimated them.., For me the Wii can reach all types of gamer. I don't think that the Wii is just for party games like the NSMBW. Games like Metroid Prime trilogy and the upcoming the other M are examples for Hardcore gamers. If you just look right now, Sony and Microsoft is now following Nintendo's footsteps (Project Natal/Sony's motion sensing and the sixaxis) go figure...

Well, for people like me who want fun, deep gameplay experiences without all the gore / FPS / WRPGs and whatnot, systems like the 360 and PS3 don't really fit my niche very well. The Wii does amazingly.
But then, with the Wii as my main game console, it seems like no developers take it seriously except for Nintendo themselves. Aside from some who totally missed the playing audience with their sub-par releases,and then wondered why their games don't sell that well.

I highly respect Nintendo and how the Wii is a game console, and a game console only. Some companies like Sony and Microsoft ruined the point of gaming systems with DVD/Blu-Ray players. I'm not saying I hate their consoles, I like the PS3/360, but like I said, gaming consoles these days should only be for gaming. Wii FTW.

I think the ps3 and xbox 360 r way more fun for the serious gamer than the wii. The wii is nowhere near the ps3 when it comes to graphics and just overall online experience. Dont get me wrong, I have the ps3 and wii and i like them both, but the ps3 is way better, thats y i keep it in my room and the wii in my brothers.

The Natal Is something you join with your xbox 360
There are action games available for it and they are at a highly new level for eg for shooting you postion ur hands as shown on the screen (basically the normal way of holding it) and shot my pressing down with your index.cost is starting at 350-400$. It will definately beat da Wii anyday. I already have a Wii and Xbox 360

The wii currently I think is the best console but after the launch of the Xbox Project Natal (please please check the trailer out on youtube ) the Wii will be pushed back...
The Project Natal has a full body motion censor from head to toe, you dont need to hold anything , you can actually talk to your game play charectors etc

PC = Godly. It's fully customizable, you can play games from the last century on it (through emulators) and most PS3 and 360 games are also on it. PC for life :)

another thing I love about the wii - is internet! you get free wireless internet browsing to watch bbc iplayer, youtube etc.

He's probably one of the first people to point out that the Wii is very underrated. The Wii has the most advanced technology of all of the current consoles. It also sells more than the Xbox 360 and PS3 but it is still not getting as much attention as it should.

@neimenkordomt: I find it hard to justify whether one console is better than the other. The Wii is unique and has some great titles (Zelda/Mario Kart/NSMB/Metroid etc) and is great fun with family or friends, or of course by yourself. The PS3 is more for anyone who really enjoys shooting games as the Wii seriously lacks games with much violence. Their still both very good consoles though.

I have the PS3 and the Wii. I mainly play with my PS3 but it's mostly because I spent almost 2 years playing the Wii before buying a PS3. Honestly, there are about 3 or 4 games for the Wii That are a hell lot better than most PS3 or 360 games. I love the Wii but overall I still enjoy my PS3 more.

This is coming from someone who owns a PS3, an Xbox360, and a Wii. In my opinion, I think tbe Wii sucks huge hairy balls compared to the 360 or PS3. Don't take it the wrong way, I like the wii. When I wanna just chill out and play some simple easy games nothing fancy. But overall, I think the Wii sucks compared to the PS3 or the 360. I am not trying to offend anybody, I'm only expressing my personal opinion.

One of the main reasons the wii gets so much hate is because it has so, so, so many crappy games..they are a dime a dozen...but if you just research a little you can find a TON of awesomely fun games...and I agree, besides Rockband, there really is no better party system...nothing like brawling it out with a bunch of friends.

Lot of poeple hate the wii but it's cause they most Kiley played 360 first but the reallity is it is a fun console and don't see why it's disrespected .I own both a wii and 360 and both sides are right 360 for those who are alone ,and wii for those who have friends over or those who GET ALONG with there parents. The wii is mostly for people that have friends or a girlfriend/boyfriend.
Hardcore gamers usually aren't social people so I recommend Xbox360 for people without friends and PS3 for people who can't even handle playing on the internet.
Then again... I play 360 for MW 2 but I find myself playing wii more often since I usually play games when friends are over.
