Man, that Tempo's a cherry! I'll never forget the red '88 Tempo my friend Justin had when we were in high school back in the early '90s (a.k.a. "the Stone Age" to you Milennials...lol, jk). Our gang had all kinds of adventures and misadventures in that car...lol :^D
@coolbluelights Haha... Southern California! I'm in Los Angeles County. The video was done in Pomona, and I'm in Long Beach now, but both are SoCal. The car actually has a few very small rust spots, which i'll be touching up with model car paint. :)
@brianpomona18 Nice, up here in NY it's rare to see a car over 7 years old that's not rusty! if I got an older car like that I would never drive it in winter^^
@23AClark Thanks! I just upgraded the door chime, and map light. I got the stuff off a newer Tempo ('92 - '94?) at a junk yard. The original door chime was a weak little buzzer. I'm saving the original parts though. Since there seems to be plenty of Tempo fans out there, I'll try to get more videos of my car up on here!
@Normalberries: I believe it has around 85k original miles (if I remember correctly). Pretty low for such an old car. I now have my license as of March 25th, and the car is now officially mine. I even took the driving test in it. I have some footage taken by my dad at the DMV that I'll be reviewing so I can put together another video. Stay tuned... I'll probably be making more videos on the side with the car.
AWESOME!! i love this video...i remember watching a 1984 ford tempo commercial and seeing your comment ..i remember talking to you here on youtube about these first generation 1984-1985 tempos ...i LOVED these tempos the most ..i really like this video and your 84 tempo looks great.i love the color..it looks very clean for an 84 if you ever device to get rid of it let me know i myself would love to have a first generation tempo like that and so would a few other people i know who like these cars
Thanks for the comment! It's being given to me by my friend's dad because I'm struggling financially to get on my feet. It's my first car. I plan to use it to drive around and get a job. I was having no luck riding my bicycle around town. I don't think I'll keep the car for long though, once I find a job and can afford something newer. I'm just hoping it lasts me long enough!

It's from the 9/11 conspiracy documentary called "Loose Change" Do a YouTube search for "The Beats Of Loose Change - DJ Skooly - Scales".
