Dude! This video is awesome, you're very lucky to live in Hawaii and that Kaba Modern visited it. I'm a huge fan of Kaba Modern and I wish to meet them someday, the only problem is that I'm from Puerto Rico and I don't think that they're going to come here. The workshop was amazing, I wish I was there. I know some of their routines from ABDC and a couple of moves from their fusion performance. Great job with the camera and the interview to Mike Song was awesome,I really enjoy it.GO KABA MODERN!

i wouldve gone to their workshop but i was embarrassed to go cuz i just started dancing about a week ago. btw, if i did go, they wouldnt teach beginners huh?

Yuri and Cindy's class was "considered" beginner.

That day was my first day dancing (ever) but i'm such a big kaba fan that I decided that if I ever were to start dancing, I want my first experience to be awesome. And it was. I was truly awe-inspired by that day and how fun dancing is.

ahh ic. im a slow learner though =(. Didnt Yuri also do an advanced class with only a small group? KM are really nice. theyre not the rub-it-in-your-face type, they like to teach people that dancing is fun.

maybe next time if they do a workshop in SoCal..=)

haha she did A LOT of quirky odd dances that day, but I wasn't filming she would just randomly burst out in one. Super fun and made the room much more comfortable to be in.

a lot of choreographers use the sounds of the beat of the song their teaching, instead of 8-counts. in my opinion, it's easier to learn that way - it helps you know what beats you need to hit.

oh yeah, i learned yuri and mike's one. during tony and lawrence's workshop i was hanging out w/ chase and the other 4 members of KM.

and most of the filming is done by chase, because I was busy dancing

Did you stay for the class tought by Ben Chung from the Jabbawockeez? I think it was right after Kaba finished their class.

There was no class. Ben Cheung didn't even come that day and he didn't perform even though he was supposed to at Castle high school. They had to removed his name from the scheduled program fliers that they passed out

there was two events with big names coming to hawaii...the other was beat streets which brought top choreographers down here that had all day workshops at fashion 45 and blaisdell....ben was originally part of that program and it conflicted if he did the workshops as well

oh yeah, the street beats I was supposed to go to that too but yeah, it conflicted with the performances and the danceworkshops. So I chose to go to the Kaba Stuff
