    He's the little superman!!

  • one of the best boxer Thailand has ever had *RESPECT*

  • @chimpanzi20

This may sound crazy but he maybe the among the greatest pound for pound fighters in the world.

  • Unless I'm mistaken, didn't this guy fight bums in a weak division?

  • The division was stacked with talent but Galaxy chose to remain in Thailand and get paydays for knocking out bums.

  • ว่าแต่เทปสองให้ดูมั้ยครับ?

  • He is a thing of beauty to watch fight .

  • big dude for 5'5, much respect for him as the 19th greatest puncher of all time

  • In 80's, only the welterweight, middleweight and heavyweight divisions had considerable attention while the lower weight class like Jr bantumweight was completely overlooked. This's the real reason that you would never see Khaosai VS someone. It was not a superfight, no PPV, and no big money in there. If you won, nothing much to gain but ,if you lost, everything is gone. That's why champs refused to risk fighting each other. They fought for their lives not for pleasing future fanboys man.

  • สุดยอดดดด อ่ะครับบบบบ....

  • i wonder what it would have been like if pacman fought this dude at flyweight?

  • Great fighter. Too bad that he fought all of his fights in Asia. The rest of the world missed out on a great champion.

  • @jperez9805 He did NOT fight all of his fights in Asia...

  • @JGmartinezJr He fought one fight in the Netherlands. I was making a bigger point regarding the fact that the rest of the world missed out on watching him. Keep your shirt on, son.

  • @jperez9805 LOL This is ihatelifejosemartine - I remember you back when I had my other account, before it was closed.. the point is I was making was while he did fight primarily in Asia, he didn't spen his ENTIRE career there, a huge misconception many boxing fans seem to have, they seem to typecast Galaxy as the "typical" Asian fighter who never left his country without knowing the reasons why that was so, mostly financial.

  • @JGmartinezJr Compadre! Whats with the new account?

  • @jperez9805 "copyright infringement" took down my old one.. oh well, I'm fine just commenting... good to see you still on here!

  • @JGmartinezJr Likewise, brother.

  • @JGmartinezJr Compadre! New account huh? You're right about the misconceptions. It would have been great to see him showcase his talents here on American soil. He would have had a huge following.

  • @JGmartinezJr money is right though he only fought 2 times out of thailand...but they were still in asia...japan...he was superb

  • @jperez9805 The boxing public knew all about him, he was a legend even when he was still fighting. Unfortunately there is not much interest in the lighter weight divisions in the west and not much money on offer, so it made financial sense to fight where he had a big following. You're right though, it would have been great to see him properly promoted in the States, like Manny is now.

  • @gragrn Indeed. The boxing public knew about him but never really had the honor of watching him in action. True P4P.

  • damn dood... that guy punches too strong for his division. truly deserve to be called the thai tyson.

  • khaosai = ivan drago

  • Deadly left strike

  • wow galaxy was ripped..my uncle adan uribe fought galaxy back in 1982 ...my uncle only made it to the fourth round and got K'od XD

  • Just heard of him today, someone said him and Edwin Valero fought similar.

    Damn shame Valero went crazy

  • สุดๆๆ

  • fuck thas a power puncher!!!!

  • his back muscles and shoulders r huge

  • @MrBrunothedog typical Asian build; nice, long torso and thick lat muscles. No diss, but if you look at most Asian fighters, that seems to be their build. LIke most fighters of predominant African descent are physiologically long-limbed and broad-shouldered. The bio diversity among the human species is a beautiful thing, actually.

  • K hits hard! Is that his secret?

  • Kaosai is a funny guy and super nice guy i met him ! he super friendly =D

  • Why are you knuckleheads comparing Galaxy to Pacman?

They're came from different eras. Your arguments don't mean shit, because it can never be proven.

    Anyways, Galaxy was a beast.

Ring Magazine's 19th of the 100 Greatest Boxers of All-Time!

Too bad he was extremely underrated, and most Top 10 boxers of that era were afraid to fight him.

  • Kaosai fight a lot of great figther.Israel Contreras record 24-0-1 W L D when he fight with Kaosai.Edgar Omar Monserrat 13-1-0.David Griman 13-0-0.Ernesto Ford21-1-0

  • สุดยอด awesome

  • truely he's 19 defence

  • HAHA muay thai fighter did great in boxing....sure says alot about boxing

  • this guy has big arms

  • His fight with Cobra Ari Blanca was a nice little slugfest. Cobra rocked him and even scored a knockdown.

  • Look, I'm a fan of Manny but that doesn't mean you all need to talk crap about Khaosai Galaxy. I'm not a boxing expert, but I read a lot of writing by boxing experts and if they unanimously agree that he's an all-time great, I'm inclined to agree.

  • International Boxing Hall of Fame

  • Also just imagine, if they had internet back then, how famous he would've been.

  • Man... Khaosai was ripped back then. The one and only Thai-Tyson.

  • Khaosai is a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame he is widely considered as one of the greatest boxing champions of all time. He is listed #19 on Ring Magazine's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time. He have the longest title reign in his division's history. Khaosai defended his WBA title 19 times in seven years, winning 16 of his title fights by knockouts. He have a record of 49 wins with only 1 loss. 43 KO's. out of 50 fights. Now tell me he is not one of the greatest.

  • @Krishnassty Awesome copy pasting skills you ass.

  • @TheTerrorUforgot u don't have anything to say in this conversation. U r just a hater.

  • @Krishnassty Yes I really hate copy/pasting from wikipedia.

  • @TheTerrorUforgot I got 11 thumbs up for my comment, what u got "HATER"

  • @Krishnassty Oh god, thumbs up! So important.... You just copy/pasted. You didn't say anything of your own.

  • @TheTerrorUforgot hahaha "HATER"

  • @Krishnassty if khaosai in live in usa he worth alot of money

  • @sonlove21 yes, he'll be on some reality tv show right now.

  • @Krishnassty I agree. I would have liked to see him fight some of the big time Western fighters but he can't help that they were scared. Hell I would be too look at him go.

  • @Krishnassty You forgot to mention, he avenged that loss

  • @amck72 Correction, he avenged a loss his twin brother had adn beat that fighter

  • Comment removed

  • would he beat pacman?

  • He couldn't beat Manny cos Manny is much bigger than him. Manny also beat some of the best p4p guys around so it wouldn't be fair to say Galaxy could beat him even if they were the same size.

But then again so what if he couldn't that doesn't take away from Galaxy's greatness he was awesome if hes not as good as Manny it doesn't matter Manny is an all time great IMO.

  • @frisbyrb5 At 115 pounds, Khaosai sends Pacquiao to the emergency room. Sorry. Pacquiao is a great fighter, but at 115, he stands zero chance.

  • I think I can see why they called him the Thai Tyson.

  • He must have beaten mandatory challenges or he would have been stripped and anyone who knows about Galaxy knows that when top guys were asked to fight him they almost always said no or they were 'injured' Galaxy was ducked beyond belief. Truth is not many casual boxing fans care for the lower weight classes where a lot of small Asian guys have done well so ppl in general don't know shit about them.

  • i agree dude and its sad because most f the time it is harder for boxers to maintain their weight in the lower classes than the heavier classes. Their effort kinda doesnt pay off for the popularity.

  • WOW! all powerpunches!!

  • For those who say he was great. Prove it!

Name the great boxers he conquered. Can you name a champ in there? I don't think so, because there's none.

He made the Tailanders think he was the real deal, when he was just a regular boxer. Sorry guys, but thats the truth.

  • before he became champ

he beat former wba bantamweight champ Chan Yong Park

    then defended the title against

Ellyas Pical was ibf superflyweight champ before and after he fought khasoi

Israel Contreras became wba bantanweight champ after he fought khasoi

Rafael Orono was a former 2 time wbc flyweight champ

Tae-Il Chang was a former ibf superflyweight champ

Yong Kang Kim was a wba flyweight champ before and after he fought him

David Griman became wba flyweight champ after he fought him

  • let me make a correction

Chan Yong Park became wba bantanweight champ AFTER he fought khasoi

  • Just because you never heard of them, doesn't make them bad fighters. There have been thousands of fighters who had all the skill and talent over the years that could've made it but wrong place, wrong time.....You can't take anything away from the accomplishments of fighters from foreign countries who just never got the chance.

  • @lemonite1 he did get the chance....he defended his title 19 times...thats may than a chance...he is a great

  • Man, there are a lot of people who like to talk shit.

You know how hard it is just to even BE a pro boxer?

    Galaxy was great. 'Nuff said.

  • Manny Pacquiao aint got nothing compare to Khaosai ..... Pacman will last only 5 rounds period

  • It's unfair to match up with the two fighters fighting together since Khaosai's prime was in the flyweight division and Pacquiao is at his prime at lightweight and jr. welterweight.

  • jesus christ! for a little guy, he got muscles stacked on top of muscles!

  • It's really a shame that he hadn't have a lot of chance to fight outside his country. The world is at a different level. Yes, HE IS GREAT. But without proof, I would rate pacquiao higher even with pac's 3 losses.

  • Hey!!! Your Oleydong Sithsamerchai wanna fight to Donnie Nietes for WBC minimumweight title.! Come on Oleydong fight him!

  • Asia's greatest boxer is belong to Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Pancho Villa.... No argue !!!! 3 star n a sun...

  • bobo mo sa english

  • 2:45 outsidering

  • This guy is hugely over-rated. He never ONCE fought a world renowned opponent.

Unfortunetely, they werent testing for steroids back then. He retired at the right time

  • that's true. he's way overrated

  • Actually, he fought three top ten rated opponents during his run.

I don't think he juiced up.

  • 19 title defenses & fought only 3 top ten rated opponents during his run. the rest of his challengers were rated 11th & above! LOL! he's indeed the pongskalek of the 80's!

  • It wasn't entirely Galaxy's fault. Galaxy wanted to fight top ten opponents, but his management insisted he stay in Thailand and many opponents ducked him, which is too bad.

  • You realize his division didn't have that many names for him to fight anyhow, plus he was widely ducked.

    an Asian marciano

  • 'then why didn't he move up in weight to fight the big names of other divisions so he can prove his worth? he's afraid to fight em cause he's contented of fighting tomato cans.

  • because he conquered a weight class.

Notice, Bernard didn't change weight classes until he finally lost his straps. Thats how it works. Some guys rather reign supreme where they are other than change the pattern.

  • he did conquer his weight, it's not his fault the other champions were reluctant to fight him. THere's a reason he's ranked so high in the all time p4p, above his counter parts in his era

  • By beating bums??You dumb ass.

  • Comment removed

  • Man i've never seen him fight before. He was the original Manny Pac! lol. Looks like he had a good chin too, got caught with some big shots n jumped right back on em!

  • did you see most of southpaw fighters are advantages for KO.

  • A real man

  • I see Khaosai Galaxy lack of footwork unlike Manny Pacquiao have complete skills are Power, Stamina, Quickness, Speed, Footwork and so-on. But Khaosai is Hard power puncher.

  • does Pacquiao have good footwork ??? he is undoubtedly a great fighter, but he lacks good footwork skills...

  • Lol!

  • just wanna say..

if u know him, khaosai is really nice guy with lovely smile. gentleman.

the champ who never ever act like champ.

  • FIGHT MANNY PACQUIAO

  • Tangina tong mga Pinoy na to!

    Khaosai is a great boxer.

Di man sing galing ni Pacman, eh magaling pa rin to si Galaxy.

& they have more World title All-time total against us..

& they have more Olympic golds All-time total against us.. We have ZERO gold.

    Be humble; enjoy MP's tagumpay!

  • Di to olympics! Boxing to!

  • amateur lang at hindi professional

  • you know that guy SalVela Snachez? he's actually a US based thai who knows how to speak Spanish! & he believes Galaxy a tomato can killer is better than Pac who fights elite fighters! what a poor jerk!!! LOL!!!

  • Wow! Nice highlight reel. Khaosai was inducted into the Boxing Hall Of Fame in 1999, and was an amazing fighter and wonderful sportsman. a real gentleman too, and a total credit to the people of Thailand.

    Legend.

  • For all people who acted Like a Jerk " He suck blah blah blah " you have to know in your country you should have your sport hero like asian country

and don't say pacman or othershit will blah blah blah you should know legend is legend he can't fight in this age I will wait until pacman goes 30 - 40 other new Skillful boxer will beat him down blah blah blah again

    Grow up kid

  • It always has been extremely fun to hear Thais cheer boxing for hundred years. LOL

  • Comment removed

  • wow what a puncher.

  • remember, this guy had a Muay Thai career before he ever switched to orthodox boxing.

  • This man is My Fovorite Boxer All Time in Small Divisions, and one of the most Dominant Boxers in a single division all time! He was a Monster, the type of Boxer that truly looks INVENCIBLE! He only had One loss early in his Carrer by points, I think he never touched the canvas, 49 Wins, only 1 defeat, 87% KO of his wins, 19 title Defenses, 7 years as champ, retired as Champ, never lost the crown. One true Great of All Time!!! As a Plus, he had class, never humiliated any opponent!

  • this guy dont stand a chance against manny pacquiao! he took on mostly japs and koreans!

  • Did you know Paman has been Terrible Knocked Out Twice In smaller Divisions? I believe that in this weight, He would have last only 5 rounds to Galaxy, I believe Pacman is a great Fighter, but ver Overrated because boxing at this moment is not at it´s Peak! The win over De la Hoya, that´s the Worst ODLH ever, lets he how he does in the near future. But why Pacman in this video, The guy has lost like 3 times already (2 KO), and More to come once gets over 30 years age. He needs Marquez Agian.

  • Check the Video of Pacquiao Vs Singsurat, he got truly Ran Over by another great fighter, in FlyWeight 51 Kgs., he got devastated, and lost another by KO vs. Torrecapo. Don't get me wrong, he is great fighter, but I beleive Overrated because at this moment, Boxing is not at it´s best. I like Pacman very Much, I enjoy him seeing Fighter, he's a true champ. But don´t over see him! Regards.

  • He is the greatest boxer of Thailand. All-time #1 Thai boxer.. And in Asia, somewhere at #7 to #10.. in his 49 wins; 15 of them were from guys w/ 0-5 fights only. He fought mostly rookies and class B & C boxers.

  • its their boxing tradition. just look at pongsaklek wongkongjams records. and thais actually hope pongsaklek will be inducted into the HOF!! LOL!!!

  • What a tremendous build for a 115-pounder. A real bruiser.

  • i wonder what will it be like if galaxy and darchinyan had a match?

  • Nice boxing! WBA, lot of boxers got hurt at that time

  • Loads of people get hurt in the rings in thailand. A 100 hundred lives are claimed ever year there due to bad referring. I noticed several examples in this video alone.

  • Nuke

  • one below me is a loser

  • With great powers comes great haters

  • TREMANDAS OSTIAS!!!!!!!!

  • Wow. Sherdog has Khaosai as the boxing counterpart to Kid Yamamoto and I have to agree. Brutal power with the skill to use it properly. I never knew who Khaosai was until that article and I must say that had this guy gotten the chance to fight in America, he would have become a sensation. The term "Beautiful Carnage" comes to mind when watching him fight.

  • 10 fighters?

Ray Robinson, Ali, Ruben Olivares, Joe Calzaghe, Orlando Canizales, Chris John, Kelvin Seabrooks, Monzon, Galindez, Duran. There is 11 off the top of my head. Enjoyed discussing this with you natman but I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

  • I believe I ask you for 10 fighters who defended their tiltes overboard against hometown fighters on at least 4 different countries.

  • yeah i reckon they should all check out, maybe some had 3 but thats close enough. Look it up if you want mate.

  • Don't worry about it. It is not a big deal. I have to admit that you you are quite well-versed with boxing information. Having an argument with you is much more recreational than with someone like Zofronio.

  • To be the best you have to fight the best, and he never fought these guys. Guys like Manny Pacquiao, Fighting Harada and Pancho Villa are the greatest asian fighters of all time. In answer to your question I could name 100 guys who did that, just fighting in other countries doesnt make you great.

And that Ring ranking is bullshit frankly. He is a great fighter but to rank him above guys like Thomas Hearns, Wilfredo Benitez and Lennox Lewis does not make any sense at all.

  • I don't know why it didn't show up, but my first reply to you was about your remark toward me for having English as my second language. you are not embarrassing me with that kind of cheap-shot sarcasm instead I feel pity for you for having such a narrow mind. If having english as first language would make your argument valid, you better come up with some kind of proof. That is what I mean by being responsible to things that you said. BTW, your English skill is not any better than mine.

  • See this is the problem. I never took any cheap shot at you, I never had a go at you. I simply said you might have taken what I said the wrong way because English wasnt your first language. And I had a hard time understanding your first few comments because the grammer was a little off, thats all. Go back and read it. The fact you have taken offence to that only reinforces my point because again you have taken a harmless observation with which I meant with no ill intent, the wrong way.

  • I never had a go on you either. I simply say it was inappropriate for you to brought it up. Perhaps, it was a misunderstanding. If you meant "no-offence," then I would say, "none taken."

  • Record show everything .He not famous because he is not American. He beat all contender in his class .Guy he not beat is bigger .

  • you're right boy! he feasted on smaller bums!! he's actually a lightweight who's only capable of fighting bantams!! LOL!!!

  • Bullshit!! If he'd had gone up he still would have ruled!!

  • Galaxy was an awesome fighter no doubt about it. But he never fought the best in his division like Sugar Baby Rojas, Gilberto Roman, Nana Konadu, Gustavo Ballas etc etc. He fought Pical, who was good and a few other alright guys, then a lot of no name fighters far less experienced then he was. Some overrate him, some underrate him but he is not the greatest asian fighter of all time.

  • According to you, he might not be the greatest Asian fighter of all time, but, as you admitted it, he is a good fighter. You have all the rights to say anything about him, but once you have said something, you have to be responsible for it. Yes, Khaosai fought Pical and won. You also have to consider the fact that they fought in Indonesia and fight went on to round 14th. Khaosai also fought in Korea and won. Not many fighters could accomplish that. See if you name one?

  • Please, don't get me wrong. I am not dissing Indonesia and Korea. I am simply trying to make a point. There is a thing call hometown decision. Also, if he won all or most of his title fights by decision, you and many others can accuse him for getting favors from the judges, but the fact is only 3 out of his 19 title fights went to decision. The Rings magazines ranks him 43rd for the 80 greatest fighters for last 80 years and 19th for the greates punchers of all time.

  • English obviously isnt your first language, so I can understand you might have taken what I said the wrong way and Im not quite sure what you are trying to say. I made a compliment about Khaosai, I said he was an awesome fighter which he is. But the fact is there were fighters who were champs at the same time as him, who had just as good records, who fought in several other countries aswell and he did not fight them.

  • Fighting overboard can be difficult because, not only the fighter in front of you, you also have to deal with the pressure from the crowd and the result of hometown decision, and that is why I brought up this argument. Khaosai defeated Pical who was currently in that time the IBF Champion. He defeated Israel Contreras who later became WBA and WBO bantamweight champion. He defeated Chang Ho Choi who was an ex-IBF flyweight champion. He defeated Kenji Mutsumura twice.
