  • @NakenKenguruTiss Both of my sentences agree. Rich guys often buy "too much" airplane for their skill set. It often leads to problems. Am I jealous of guys who get to fly those airplanes? Of course! :)

  • Roger That.....I do wish you guys all the best. thanks for the compliments on my Midget Mustang....I did it for the Air Corps Guys....

  • he really scared me getting off center line....some day that will bite his butt when he really needs to command full control....

  • Good Day, Appreciate your concern! When George took off he didn't line up straight to start and wasn't concerned as this particular runway is 200 ft wide. As he started he let it go the direction it was headed until the tail came up and he starightened it out. He had so much room that even after all that he still was in the middle of the right side of the runway. His home field runway is only 60 ft wide and always runs straight and safe there. Later, Mike

    ps Saw your channel, awesome.

  • i dont get how those planes take off! LOL

  • Its simple really haha ohwels lol

  • Great vid but man I can get over the centerline issue :)

  • The funny thing about most high performance airplanes is that you don't have to be a good pilot to fly one......you just have to be rich! There are a lot of rich guys out there who fly planes waaaay beyond their ability.

  • Sheesh! Apparently he doesn't know what "centerline" means!

Ha! Ha! I can say that because I own a Stewart-51!....

  • I casually mentioned it to George after he landed. He said that these runways are about as wide as his home airport runways are long. He said 'I can take off in any direction'. It was a good laugh & then we promtley went out for beers. This was at the Abbotsford Airshow 2006. P.S. Love the Stewart 51 also but never seen one in person, just lots of Thunder's & one F.E.W. Are you bringing yours to any Airshows in the North West U.S.? Reno Air Races to either Race or hang out?

  • Sheesh! Apparently he doesn't know what "centerline" means!

Ha! Ha! I can say that because I own a Stewart-51!....

  • I love the P-51, but those were scaled down replicas and aren't the real thing.

  • Good day, You are correct that they aren't the real thing (P-51D). They are Thunder Mustang's as per the video's title. They are very cool and very fast as they carry a powerful V-12 engine and the airframe is light and strong because it's almost entirely made of carbon fibre. There's no reason not to love the real P-51's and the Thunder Mustang.

  • Yes they were and probably the only Mustang many of us could ever afford.
