God, how I love Teresa Berganza! I am not sure (since I never saw her do it live) if Carmen is the perfect role for her that Isabella and Cenerentola and Cherubino were, but she brings aspects to it that nobody else does. That gorgeous, charming sound (Spanish charm is something that most Carmens lack, IMO) draws you in. I love you, Teresa!
